Three days ahead of the Iowa caucuses,Donald Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination, today attacked Sen. Ted Cruz again for being born in Canada.
"Now, Ted Cruz may not be a U.S. citizen. Right? But he's an anchor baby in Canada. No, he's an anchor baby. Ted Cruz is an anchor baby in Canada," Trump said today at his event in Nashua, New Hampshire.
He also said the Texas senator got âpummeled last night" at the GOP presidential debate.
âThey didnât even mention he was born in Canada,â Trump lamented.

Many Cruz supporters have already said they would not vote for him anyway and they mock anyone who supports Trump.
Where’s the loss?
Reading some of these posts I’m amazed at how many reapers don’t realize that politics is a bloodsport.
You can only have a civilized debate in front of the ignorant masses if the politicians behind it have already colluded together behind closed doors and have already made the real decision.
I start to worry that the fix is in when they all get along and they use the word bipartisan which is lefty talk for “we got ours and screwed you!”
Don’t worry, Ted is starting to play catch-up on the name calling.
He pulled out a Trump hair joke the other day and has his lap dog Ben Sasse out doing his dirty work.
*******************************************
Hey, don’t forget Ted’s new BFF, Beck. Beck (Ted proxy) called Trump Hitler. I don’t like Trump’s name calling but at least he does the name calling himself, he doesn’t send surrogates out to do it.
Trash talk is a "New York value."
This is who he is, a successful businessman who will do anything to get what he wants even if it means destroying his opposition.
It won't be so bold, brave, refreshing or un-PC then.
It will also be too late.
This may make some of his supporters laugh with glee, but it doesn’t play well with center-right undecideds.
It’s stupid and infantile. HS drama queen crap.
How about that Hell's Kitchen guy for First Cook?
So what? That won't get him my vote.
Nor does The Donald. lol, good catch
Good one!
>> Whereâs the loss?
I have in the past said I would vote for him — and I don’t mock those who support him. So you decide.
Bwahahaha!!!!
>> It won’t be so bold, brave, refreshing or un-PC then.
He just might goad someone into offing him, though. Someone close enough to him to pull it off.
I’m not hoping for that — just sayin’. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
So dual citizenship, Canadian citizenship since renounced = anchor baby?
In what galaxy? Time for the Donald to get better staff.
Trump is trying get Cruz vetted so he can make him his running mate.
Crazy like a fox.
McStain pulled in evangelicals with Palin, and Trup is not stupid, nor does he ignore history.
The founding fathers wrote the rule of Judeo-Christian law so that we did not need to elect the best Christian in the race, just the best leader and most qualified.
I think the founding fathers were smarter than the Christians who oppose Trump, and if my vote was the only one that counted, I’d vote for Cruz.
See the big picture and historical context.
Trump is doing it because it’s what Trump does and always has done. He’s like a teenage girl: “You can’t be my friend if you’re gonna be her friend.” Just look at how Trump reacted to Bob Vander Plaats’ endorsement of Ted Cruz; Trump vilified him because he thought he had bought Vander Plaats.
Stupid. Trump was born in the US Cruz was born in Canada.
Trump said he was an anchor baby in Canada, which could be true if neither parent was a Canadian citizen at the time of his birth.
That is, Trump's supporters were opposed to "birthright citizenship" until Cruz' birthplace became an issue for them. They celebrated Trump's opposition to the policy while simultaneously using its opposite for political advantage. That's how desperate, inconsistent, and hypocritical you really are.
