Three days ahead of the Iowa caucuses,Donald Trump, the front-runner for the GOP nomination, today attacked Sen. Ted Cruz again for being born in Canada.
"Now, Ted Cruz may not be a U.S. citizen. Right? But he's an anchor baby in Canada. No, he's an anchor baby. Ted Cruz is an anchor baby in Canada," Trump said today at his event in Nashua, New Hampshire.
He also said the Texas senator got “pummeled last night" at the GOP presidential debate.
“They didn’t even mention he was born in Canada,†Trump lamented.

The same thing Ted and his supporters have been making great progress toward, also: re: Trump supporters.
And anchor babies are born in the U.S., not outside the U.S.
You honestly believe that? Then why isn't Trump out there defending Cruz who say he isn't eligible instead of agreeing with them that he isn't eligible? What Trump has done is make it impossible for him to even consider Cruz, assuming he ever had to begin with. And has made it impossible for Cruz to accept the VP spot, assuming he ever would have accepted it to begin with.
A *Canadian* anchor baby. That’s actually true, which is why Ted was automatically a Canadian citizen until he renounced it 15 months ago.

Ted won’t survive the media onslaught, but Donald will. Donald has the media savvy, Ted doesn’t.
Donald needs to stop with the Ted birther attacks because 1) they are untrue and 2) a large contingent of conservatives like both men immensely. It’s like watching two brothers fighting, you just want to say KNOCK IT OFF NOW!

Birthright citizenship is conferred by virtually every country in the Americas so the definition logically applies to Cruz vis a vis Canada. I don’t see the big deal except his parents clearly did not give birth in Canada for the purpose of conferring dual citizenship.

Something those of us who live in normal places may be forgetting is that New Yorkers, residents of the place so nice they named it twice, believe that being able to swear at people in their own language, uh, makes them multi-lingual.
