Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said after Thursday evening's GOP presidential debate that he's the only candidate in the 2016 presidential race who has consistently opposed "amnesty" for illegal immigrants.
"In the Republican field, I am the only person on that stage, the only Republican running, who opposes amnesty, who opposes a pathway to citizenship," Mr. Cruz said on Fox News' "The Kelly File." "Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump â all three of them support a pathway to citizenship."...

... Except in 2013 when he supported it.
You wouldn’t recognize the truth if it slapped you in the face and said hello.
Then again The One’s supporters have shown a total lack of honesty and hostility to all who dare not worship at The One’s alter.
You should find a middle school to hang out together in.
Yesterday “No one talk to Cruz” video was sufficient to tell everything about Cruz.
With Ted, it is always about I, not we.
Cruz would be great. But can he get elected. All of the Dems are going to vote.
You’ve got to be kidding.
Well, I'm paying attention now and am curious to see if there is any evidence that Ted Cruz stated, at the time the legislation was being considered, that he intended for his amendments to be poison pills.
Ted is on the record several times talking about how he wanted immigration reform to pass.
Even including his amendments, this included amnesty but no citizenship.
I'm ready to listen to anything new that shows me he did not want the bill to pass. All the evidence I've seen indicates he wanted it to pass.
Ted Cruz: I'm the only candidate who has consistently opposed amnestyYou're also an admitted liar on the subject so now no one knows when you aren't lying.
I heard Trump just sent Meggie candy and flowers for deep sixing Cruz and handing him the Iowa Caucus win. :-)
Look at the headline. He does that all the time.
I am the only one...........blah blah
What is wrong with sealing the border? What is wrong with taking away a path to citizenship? And what is wrong with having a conversation with the American people about what to do with them once citizenship has been taken off the table and the border has been secured?
The three big issues for the next four years are: Amnesty, Obamacare, and guns. Any candidate who is not a close match to the correct answer on all three is unacceptable. No Amnesty. Completely repeal (not repeal and replace) of Obamacare. Roll back existing laws restricting our individual, God-given right to keep and bear arms.
Other issues matter too, including shrinking the absolute size of Federal Government. Reducing the rate of abortion is a big positive, but there is little that a president can do in that direction, in the short term. Improving our military rules of engagement is a big positive, but even more important is deciding when, where, and with what objectives to use the military at all. Creating jobs is a big positive, but the best thing a real president can do is get government out of the way so that small businesses can create jobs. Cutting the deficit is extremely important, but even with with the massive $20T debt Obama will be handing over, the other problems are more urgent. The difference is that my vote won’t be decided by these issues (for example, a president’s views on abortion will not change how many babies are murdered by liberals for profit and for spare parts, so the details on abortion will not be decisive in my vote).
Do you or do you not support 'I get fantastic ratings' Trump?
LOL...you meant the Donald right...LOLOLOLOL
Libbylu, why you gotta be so mean? It's me!?!?!
All I want to see is evidence where Ted Cruz SAID that he wanted his amendments to the Gang of 8 bill to be a poison pill. Every video I've seen says he wanted the bill to pass including his amendments.
With his amendments, the bill would have included amnesty without citizenship.
Prove me wrong. I'd be fine being wrong but I've haven't seen anything other than the videos, the Brett Baier interview and the debate question posed by Megyn Kelly.
Are you talking about his poison pill? The whole point was to kill it.By lying. Was he lying then or is he lying now?
Making proposals to legal documents under false pretenses isn't a simple white lie...it's fraud.
With his amendments, the bill would have included amnesty without citizenship.
Prove me wrong. I'd be fine being wrong but I've haven't seen anything other than the videos, the Brett Baier interview and the debate question posed by Megyn Kelly.
The proof is Jeff Sessions, who led the charge with Ted Cruz to kill the bill. He backs up every word of Ted Cruz’s account of how they killed the Gang of Eight bill.
Nope, of Megan Kelly admitsSuddenly Megan Kelley is a Cruz hero...got it.
