this is probably a case of not kicking her husband while he is down. I am sure he is devastated by the divorce but imagine if she chose to do it while he was a prisoner. divorce is never good but we really don’t know what there marriage was like before he was taken by the Iranians and it really is not our business now. all we can do is pray that god helps them sort it all out.

Divorce hasn't been mentioned, only counseling for reconciliation.

Really sad. She probably had given up on him ever being released and had “moved on” with her life, whatever that means. He knew this was coming as she didn’t fly to Germany to meet him and didn’t immediately meet him when he arrived in the United States. His parents, sister and Rev. Franklin Graham were there. She wasn’t scheduled to meet him with the children until Monday of this week.
