A new ad that brutally exposes Donald Trump's hypocrisy vis-a-vis illegal immigration did not come from any of his current opponents, but rather Our Principles PAC, an anti-Trump group led by former Mitt Romney aide Katie Packer.
The ad opens by asserting that the reason Trump is skipping Thursday"s GOP debate is "Trump can't handle tough questions, like why he'd let millions of illegal immigrants stay in America and even supports a pathway to citizenship." The ad then shows Trump addressing a Chicago audience last June, sounding as if he endorsed giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. Trump lectured, "You have to give them a path and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that."
The ad immediately segues to a recording of Trump telling Fox News on June 18, "How do you throw somebody out that's lived in this country for twenty years? You can't just throw everybody out."
That sentiment, of course, reflected precisely the opposite of Trump's attitude in his immigration plan, in which he ripped politicians, writing, "When politicians talk about 'immigration reform' they mean: amnesty, cheap labor and open borders." In October, Trump accused his then-chief rival, Ben Carson of being "for amnesty and I'm for a very strong border."
The ad follows with a Trump tweet from August 29 in which he supported amnesty for illegal immigrants after a halt to illegal immigration.
After citing Trump's huge hotels, the ad continues, "Why does Trump support amnesty? Maybe because Trump makes big money off illegal immigrants." The ad then notes that "a federal court ruled that Trump's company hired illegal immigrants to help the construction process for Trump Tower. He even paid a million dollar fine, and his new hotel in Washington?" The add quotes a news report stating, "The Washington Post interviewed about fifteen laborers at the D.C. hotel site, reporting that many reveal they entered the U.S. illegally."
The ad concludes: "Amnesty for illegal immigrants. Big money for himself. Can conservatives trust Donald Trump?"
My apology to all trumpees. I was wrong. Donnie immigration plan now only lists this. There is now NOTHING I can find mentioning deporting any illegals but for criminals.
Mandatory return of all criminal aliens. The Obama Administration has released 76,000 aliens from its custody with criminal convictions since 2013 alone. All criminal aliens must be returned to their home countries, a process which can be aided by canceling any visas to foreign countries which will not accept their own criminals, and making it a separate and additional crime to commit an offense while here illegally.
Oh yeah, and arguing before SCOT*US* to save gun rights and execute Jose Medellin! Do you believe your own nonsense? Really?
After saying yes to a legalization amnesty, Trump gets weaselly about a citizenship amnesty.
TRUMP: Legal status.
BASH: No citizenship?
TRUMP: No citizenship.
We will see. Later down the line, who knows what is going to happen, but legal status.
(CROSSTALK)
BASH: So you're open to...
(CROSSTALK)
TRUMP: It's something I would think about, but I would say, right now, no, I'm not open to it. I would say legal status.
(Underlined weasel words)
Worth repeating.
Cruz lied to everyone when he claimed, as a lawyer, that he didn't know having a Canadian birth certificate meant he was a Canadian citizen. "Smartest guy in the room" thinks we are all a bunch of idiots.
Cruz knew he was a citizen but kept one foot in Canada in case this American political chase didn't work out.
Epiphany and Metanoia can turn a person toward the good.
St. Paul on a horse. Trump on a horse of living big. St.Paul used his prior talents to serve the true, good and beautiful. Trump can do the same.
Political Pharisees beware.
The Paul you speak of had a conversion experience.
Metanoia not equal.
Thanks.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your wonderful posts.
No, I certainly don’t read them, but every time I see one of your posts I smile, endorphins are released, I start to chuckle and I get a feeling of wellbeing all over. They truly brighten my day, and when I read them at night—I dream in color.
Little did you know how much of a difference you could make in the life of a complete stranger.
First it was Scott Kevin Walker...you posted your heart out and finally you made him go away. Then, for a brief time, it was Carson, you made quick work of him. Now it’s Cruz....soon he to will be gone. Sadly, I did like Cruz, but as soon as I saw that you were working the case, I knew his days were numbered.
So, who might your next target be? You better figure it out soon because Monday is fast approaching.
Have a wonderful day and please know that I am feeling GREAT.
P.S. I know this special recognition of you must warm your heart, so I’ll try to post it again and again and again.
Go Trump Go
xxxooo
Yeah, cuz Hillary is just going to pound him on morality.
The Romney Left-overs are not going to be any more successful than they were in 2012.
Be honest. Cruz also changed. This is a post-Paris world.
One can believe or disbelieve Cruz's and Session's explanation about Cruz in 2013 trying to sell his poison pill amendments.
Cruz is now for fully enforcing the laws thru deportations and removals.
Trump is now and has always been for amnesty.
Perhaps if Trump was going to show up at the debate tonight, he could have answered a question about how many millions of "good ones", does he want to "expedite" back for a legalization amnesty.
Perhaps he could have answered a question more clearly about a citizenship amnesty.
But unfortunately for our country, Trump won't be there.
Standing to the corner of Donald Trump, his campaign manager- Dr Werner Von Braun, contemplates their run-up to the White House.
Well one thing we know, if it airs during the debate, 30 percent of the candidates won’t even see it.
Remember when Trump said that Hillary would make a great president?
Hillary will pound Trump on that, over and over again.
bttt.
Exactly why the Trump sycophants love him. They aren’t conservatives either.
;>)
Hillary will pound Trump on that, over and over again.
She will never mention it ... that is like opening the floodgates for all her failures.
"Yes, there was a time when I thought you would make a good President, that was before you left 4 Americans to die in Benghazi," "before your recklessness with Top Secret intelligence data on your personal server" ... etc. etc.
She will never say a word ...
Thanks. I feel privileged to have made your list of Trumpees!
