BRUTAL Ad Released Ripping Trump on Illegal Immigration Flip-Flop
Daily Wire ^ | January 28, 2016 | By: Hank Berrien

Posted on 01/28/2016 12:45:06 PM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

A new ad that brutally exposes Donald Trump's hypocrisy vis-a-vis illegal immigration did not come from any of his current opponents, but rather Our Principles PAC, an anti-Trump group led by former Mitt Romney aide Katie Packer.

The ad opens by asserting that the reason Trump is skipping Thursday"s GOP debate is "Trump can't handle tough questions, like why he'd let millions of illegal immigrants stay in America and even supports a pathway to citizenship." The ad then shows Trump addressing a Chicago audience last June, sounding as if he endorsed giving illegal immigrants a path to citizenship. Trump lectured, "You have to give them a path and you have to make it possible for them to succeed. You have to do that."

The ad immediately segues to a recording of Trump telling Fox News on June 18, "How do you throw somebody out that's lived in this country for twenty years? You can't just throw everybody out."

That sentiment, of course, reflected precisely the opposite of Trump's attitude in his immigration plan, in which he ripped politicians, writing, "When politicians talk about 'immigration reform' they mean: amnesty, cheap labor and open borders." In October, Trump accused his then-chief rival, Ben Carson of being "for amnesty and I'm for a very strong border."

The ad follows with a Trump tweet from August 29 in which he supported amnesty for illegal immigrants after a halt to illegal immigration.

After citing Trump's huge hotels, the ad continues, "Why does Trump support amnesty? Maybe because Trump makes big money off illegal immigrants." The ad then notes that "a federal court ruled that Trump's company hired illegal immigrants to help the construction process for Trump Tower. He even paid a million dollar fine, and his new hotel in Washington?" The add quotes a news report stating, "The Washington Post interviewed about fifteen laborers at the D.C. hotel site, reporting that many reveal they entered the U.S. illegally."

The ad concludes: "Amnesty for illegal immigrants. Big money for himself. Can conservatives trust Donald Trump?"

Doesn't fly. Trump will bring them back, damned near all of them as legal. Cruz will squeeze them out using existing law that he says he will enforce. There is nothing wrong with the existing law that enforcement won't fix. Illegal aliens are not law-abiding. Your conclusions about Cruz' intentions are made up out of whole cloth.

Now, has he been clearly stating he intends to deport them all? The courts will assure that such can't be done in any practical way unless they WANT to leave. Trump gives them a reason to leave, because they'll get to come back, which is what he says he wants.

Meanwhile you say NOTHING about the content of what Trump has said or has been cited here. You are in denial sir.

You're in denial about Ted Cruz. He's got strings attached. When Ted wants to says something about tightening immigration, is he on the phone with some big doner that he winks at? Trump we know who to blame and we're not wondering about some guy behind the curtain pulling his strings.

This is right out of Trump's immigration plan. Highlighting what I said on this thread:

"Immigration moderation. Before any new green cards are issued to foreign workers abroad, there will be a pause where employers will have to hire from the domestic pool of unemployed immigrant and native workers. This will help reverse women's plummeting workplace participation rate, grow wages, and allow record immigration levels to subside to more moderate historical averages. "

Foreigners can come to the US for employment but American workers are the first in line for jobs and the people who are here legally.

This is fantasy.

Re foreign workers and the unemployment rate, Cruz' plan has the same features, and then some. Try reading what is in writing instead of trading in fantasies.

You STILL haven't addressed the fact that Trump has not only hired hordes of illegals, he not only owns companies that absolutely depend upon them, but within the last year has clearly stated his intent to bring them back in as legal immigrants and therefore future Democrats.

Romney and his ally are the big GOPee illegal promoter here. Show me the links that proves this hit ad specifically Trump hiring hoards of illegals? He didn’t hire hoards of illegals. How much is a hoard? Show the link. His companies uses E-verify and don’t give me some sub contractor. Cruz would be so lucky to have a substantial company to even hire ‘hoards’ of people.

Here you go. He set up a phony subcontractor who paid illegal Polish immigrants $5 per hour to do demolition work, for 12 hour shifts, seven days a week, with no overtime. They were demolishing an old building, with asbestos and lead paint, offering them no breathing filters and no hard hats. The court found him guilty and fined him a million bucks.

If you think he doesn't use illegals in his hotels, casinos, and golf courses, you're in fantasy land. There is no way he would be competitive without them.

I told you don't give me some dumb subcontractor. I'll check it out anyways.

BTW, your little boy in tonight's debate seems to be crying like a big wimp as the guy on center stage. True? Not presidential.

He stood up the contractor who had never done that business before. He was a shell.

Your quote was stated in obvious sarcasm. Therefore your representation of it is completely dishonest.

So you wouldn't. You would have heard it from workers who were there. Too bad you don't want direct testimony, but it would blow your fantasy.

“You almost had us Constitutionalists fooled!!”

No idea what you’re talking about. This is why people quote the comments to which they reply. (as I’ve done just above)

You’re welcome. :)

He was imitating Trump, which was obvious.

Interesting that you would characterize Trump as "crying like a big wimp" since he was afraid to appear at the debate.

I am not a supporter of Ted Cruz.

Apparently you can't be bothered with facts: A Federal court found that Trump is a charter member of the cheap labor express.

It wasn't so obvious since Cruz carried it off badly. Many not sure about it. I think I read that the Cruzie camp had to clarify that it was a joke. That's not good.

And not a good night for your boy. His debate performance was generally seen as a failure:

Yeah right. /sarc Cruz is not that believable about his shifting stances on immigration. That’s the bottom line. Trump is seen as a leader that Cruz could only wish for. On top off that, Cruz had a bad debate performance last night.

Didn't read it did you? Too bad. Trump is a flaming liar; it's proven that he's a charter member of the cheap labor express while even Megyn Kelly admitted Cruz had been telling the truth about the poison pill bill as confirmed by Jeff Sessions.

Deal with it, because you are going to get your nose rubbed in it, repeatedly. I'm not going to tolerate your shifting lies when I see them any more.
