Donald Trump Picks Up THIS Key Endorsement In Wake Of Debate Boycott

This week has turned out to be eventful for GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump. First, he made waves when he decided to boycott Fox News' GOP debate, and now he's announced an endorsement from an elected official that's sure to have him smiling.

Republican South Carolina Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster has officially endorsed Trump, making him the highest-ranking South Carolina official to do so.

McMaster introduced Trump before his rally Wednesday night in South Carolina and praised Trump's business achievements as well as his unwillingness to be controlled by donors, according to The Hill.

As improbable as it may seem to some, it was our forefathers' intention that we have civilians--successful, morally upright citizens from many walks of life--leave the private sector to serve the people as elected government officials for a period, and then return to private life as others step up to serve.

Donald Trump is so much more the pluperfect example of our forefathers' design model than was Barack Obama or even Jeb Bush that I'm kind of surprised that more dyed-in-the-wool 'constructionistas' aren't jumping on board with him.

The World itself awaits your coming leadership with bated breath and great anticipation, Mr. Trump. They expect the same greatness in their leaders as you have both striven for and acheived in your private life. Time to share, Donald.

Not true.

As the old saying goes, when you owe the bank a small amount, the bank owns you. When you owe the bank a great deal of money, you own the bank.

And as to the media...as a former NYer, I have watched Trump deal with the media since the 1970's. The media didn't create Trump. Trump used the media to both create Trump and to learn how to control the media narrative.

If you think otherwise, you haven't been paying attention.

YOu might not be so thrilled when you learn more about the person that endorsed him:

"In 2010, he ran against Nikki Haley in the Republican gubernatorial primary, which he lost. He then - according to the ethics complaint lodged against him - "created a phantom general election in which he was not participating and solicited additional donations for that election in an effort to circumvent the law." The money was used to retire earlier campaign debt. He is scheduled to face 51 counts of campaign-finance violations in March."

So Trump was just endorsed by a politician facing 51 charges for defrauding donors in order to pay off his campaign debt.
