A legislative oversight committee is unfairly targeting gay rights organization in Iowa over its programming at an annual anti-bullying youth conference, the leader of the group said Tuesday ahead of a meeting to address the issue.
Nate Monson, executive director of Iowa Safe Schools, said some members of the House Government Oversight Committee plan to sensationalize his group's work at a meeting Wednesday at the Capitol.

One example: Ehlert says Sam Killerman, a social justice comedian, gave students advice about how to browse the Internet for "orgies" and to find pornography. She also said students were told at one session about Internet sites involving safe sexual bondage and how students could learn about having sex "dangerously, but safely."
In addition, Ehlert said Killerman instructed students about how to send naked pictures of themselves to others and what is considered illegal and how to avoid it. Killerman also discussed the legality of an underage person having sex with someone who is an adult, she said.
The closing presenter was Coco Peru, which is the drag persona of American actor and comedian Clinton Leupp. Ehlert said Peru sang a ballad about how bullies should be poisoned and "(expletive delete)) die."

If the presenters were making their presentations to any child under 18 they should have been arrested for child molestation.
