The Wounded Warrior Project, a charity organization dedicated to helping injured former military members, only spends about 60 percent of its donation funds helping veterans.
An investigation by CBS News discovered that the Wounded Warrior Project has a dismal record when compared to other similar charities, though the group managed to pull in $300 million just in 2014. The organization apparently raised more than $1 billion since 2003.
âTheir mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors, but what the public doesnât see is how they spend their money,â Army Staff Sgt. Erick Millette told CBS News. Millette worked with the project for two years before quitting from disillusionment, saying that the charity was little more than a scam to bring in money and spend on extravagant and luxurious parties, as well as other non-vet-related expenses.

That sounds astoundingly high.
Most charities distribute 7-10% of gross intake.
Beats the hell out of the Clinton Crime Family Foundation.

I wonder what the top guy makes a year.
With the dedication that Donald Trump has shown to helping Vets, I will venture to say the Wounded Warriors will find ways to be more efficient and get more money to the veterans, now that Donald Trump is involved with them.
They must pay a lot for all the tv ads and that doesn’t help. Who should we give too?
$473,015
Exactly, no controversy here. I remember reading the International Red Cross only passed through %10 of donations. 60% sounds huge.
I believe that the Salvation Army has the highest pass through on donations.
Other than that just buy quality canned goods and donate it to your local church food bank.
Its a scam. basically in the class of Susan Komen pink ribbon breast cancer charity.
The guy that heads the Afghanistan Iraq vets organization that said they would refuse Trump money makes $135,000 a year. Stripes says they are leftists.
The 2500 dollar bar tabs don’t help vets either.I suggest finding some local vets who are hurting and give them some money. That way 100 percent of your money goes where it’s needed.

You gotta be kidding. Nobody reads the articles.
I only give to charities that contribute more than 90% to their intended targets.
