Trumpâs refusal to participate in Thursday nightâs debate as long as Kelly is moderating smacks of sexism.
She doesnât call herself a feminist. âBut every so often, as all [women] know, you have to stop and slap somebody around a little bit who doesnât understand that we are actually equals and not second-class citizens,â Kelly said in the article.
When Kelly returned to Fox News Channel from maternity leave in 2011, she challenged on her show the conservative radio host Mike Gallagher, who had called her three months off with her baby a âracket.â
âI want you to know that the United States is the only country in the advanced world that doesnât require paid maternity leave,â she told him. âIf anything, the United States is in the dark ages when it comes to maternity leave. And what is it about getting pregnant and carrying a baby for nine months that you donât think deserves a few months off so bonding and recovery can take place?â
Two years later, she took on another conservative commentator, Erick Erickson, after he wrote about how terrible it was for civilization that women were increasingly becoming the breadwinners in their households.
âWhat makes you dominant and me submissive and who died and made you scientist in chief?âshe asked him.
The New York Magazine profile recounted how after that moment, Sheryl Sandberg, Facebookâs chief operating officer and author of the book âLean In,â which encourages women to advocate for themselves, called Kelly and said, âI love you, you are awesome.â
Without asking for it, Kelly has become something of a feminist icon just by being a woman who stands up for herself.

Washington Post? No BARF alert needed! ;-)
If I was in Chicago I would vote for Trump twice in a row.
Good point
She shore is perty! Til she lets some twit from National Review say Carly F cut Trumps Balls off in the second debate, and titters like a Jr High cheerleader getting a glance into the boys locker room shower.
"... people better stop calling me bimbo..."
Search for the word - Noor - she is the Muslim internet person who has been invited to question the candidates - with the approval of the RNC.
There is supposedly two others also set to interrogate Trump and the other candidates.
Just heard a Trump staffer said that some of the other candidates are also thinking of dropping out of the debate.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT.
Then - if it was me - I would be calling the RNC and demanding that their leader resign over his treachery.

"You asked a great question, by the way. The war on women. God bless you Megyn Kelly."
When she first started her show it was more news
then it when downhill
Good news a One America News

I'm going to have to go with Not Guilty, but she better hook me up with her grandmothers chicken soup.
It should be automatic with the Washington Compost.
Haven’t watched her since the first debate. FNC is off as well.
She is?
Meghan versus Chelsea Clinton in 2020.
Woo-hoo!
The notion that we have to endure her bad journalistic behavior sounds sexist to me. She's a big girl, and she needs to be treated like anyone else when she acts like an idiot.
Kelly make get what she wants from Roger A. at Fox News but not Trump. She needs to stop trying to make news and report news. Its not about her and she needs get out or grown up. Wants to be center of attention pure simple. Someone needs to tell her the job of news people is to report and that all. Sounds like to me she has not been told NO before. I alone with many will not watch Fox News most of all her show. I turned her off the last time she show herself off as Moderator. I was very very little Fox News and more and will even less now.
Kelly was given marching orders to slay Trump in the first debate and failed. A lot of GOP types blame Ailes for failing to destroy Trump then and there.
To be honest I actually worry for Trump's life - tin foil hat sounding and all that. Trump's victort will de-power a lot of powerful people in DC.
I am a Donald Trump and a Ted Cruz supporter. They are both wonderful candidates for POTUS.
I will be happy for either of them to win against Hillary C., Bernie S., Elizabeth W., Joe B., or Martin O.
Ben, I was prepared to find a skinny metro-sexual he-she, but ...
