Donald Trump wasted no time Wednesday morning fanning the flames of his newly reignited feud with Fox News star Megyn Kelly.
"I refuse to call Megyn Kelly a bimbo, because that would not be politically correct," the Republican presidential front-runner said in an early morning tweet. "Instead I will only call her a lightweight reporter!"
Trump has taken issue with Kelly since the two faced off in last summer's Fox News debate - the first Republican debate of the 2016 election cycle.
Trump's last throw down with "The Kelly File" host was similarly punctuated by the b-word [Aug 24, 2015].
The rivalry was restarted Tuesday night after the real estate mogul announced through his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that he would not be participating in Thursday's Republican debate, which is slated to air on Fox News.
In a pre-rally press conference in Iowa City, Iowa, Trump referred to Kelly as a "lightweight" and a "third-rate reporter," and suggested he would be sitting out the debate in favor of a charity event for the Wounded Warrior Project.
Kelly quickly responded on her show by declaring that she would not step down as moderator.
Her network soon followed suit with their own response, accusing Lewandowski of threatening Kelly, and vowing to not to give into "terrorizations."
Exactly right. "Accurate journalism" is a fiction, created by the press and the government to trust that which is untrustworthy. The press, as constituted today, is a powerful and effective poison against personal independence and responsibility. it is subversive of the constitution, just as Congress, the courts, and the presidents have been, for 100+ years.

Can you even give one clue in the wake of Trump’s decision not to participate in the debate why she would host and enthusiastically greet that slob poser Michael Moore on her show? He’s nothing but a disgusting dirt bag - got better treatment from her than she ever gave to Donald Trump

... Trump will get more mileage by swapping taunts. Childish? You betcha. But his decision to bail out of the debate isn’t without some justification. That FoxNews release really was unprofessional, and showed extreme prejudice on the network’s part.
FNC used DT’s own style against him. Isn’t pretty from the other side is it? DT can dish it but he cannot take it.

Exactly! He alludes to her being a bimbo without directly calling her one. He is a complete “chicken sh*t.” He is an effective a**hole, I will give him that. And I loathe them both.
And now he is flipping on his “I won’t be politically correct.” Broken promises already and not even elected yet.

She seemed in good spirits last night about Trump skipping the debate.
Her guests kept telling her that Trump is scared of her.
And Cruz was repeating the same on Hannity and Levin shows.
They said :”How can we trust he can handle Hillary in a debate if he is scared of you?”
FNC is really calling him out with that theme.
I sympathize and agree. But you have to admit, Donald played this burn expertly. In effect, he got in the “she’s really a bimbo” aspect but couched it with the age old Nixon “.....it would be wrong” defense and then got off the “lightweight reporter” volley in withdrawing from the incursion. Classic, classic masterful sortie in my opinion.
