Not everyone here on FR shares your opinion. This thing was a wreck from the beginning and it’s only gotten worse. I am sad that someone died, but that someone (in his own words) predicted his fate on television stating he was always armed and he would die before he went to prison.

It’s frustrating to read the comments around here tonight that basically suggest the FBI murdered the man. It appears there are many FReepers who should support “Black Lives Matter” to maintain intellectual honesty. Maybe you should all take to the streets yelling “hands up, don’t shoot”? I have already seen suggestions of murder written several times.

My favorite is the posts that seem bitter because they believe it was “not a fair fight.” Let’s see.... law enforcement should meet the person breaking the law on even terms - 20 paces and turn around? That’s stupid. These men were breaking the law. While they might have some legitimate grievances they were not residents of this area, were asked to leave by the Sheriff (I thought this was the supreme authority for sovereign citizens?), and some of them were even demanding that the government give the land to them?

Don’t you see the irony? Even the other “militia” groups steered clear of this. There was no “blow for freedom” that was struck in Oregon - the whole thing is pretty sad.

I and others see this as a frontline in the fight for Liberty.

Please educate yourself on what was done to the Hammonds and the quest of the federal gov't to destroy their livelihood and take their land.

To equate this to the black lives matters rioting and lootings is disingenuous and despicable.

BTW I don't know what happened at the stop but common sense tells me that it was not a "routine traffic stop"

I doubt that further conversation will be fruitful.

Goodnight.
