I'm a little surprised and not-surprised to see playwright David Mamet on the list. He's done/said some pretty conservative things (like writing screenplays for
The Unit, starring Dennis Haysbert), but I was a little surprised to see he's gone all the way to support Sen. Cruz.
Ditto actor James Woods, tho' less surprised since he's been an outspoken conservative for years. (He's also the guy who spotted Mohamed Atta and the 9/11 hijackers practicing their moves and testing aircrew responses on a dry run in 2001, and turned their ass in to the FBI. The FBI, however, didn't see the full significance of what Woods was reporting until 911.)
