Trump can do a 180 on his values and positions and not lose the Trump supporters.
Trump has been a political chameleon most of his life. He’s claiming to have profoundly changed himself into a conservative. Even though I hope it’s true, it is perfectly reasonable to questions his bonafides. Trump and his supporters want us to trust in him as an article of faith. It may be moot at this point in time, but not challenging his past is a yuge mistake. Past is prologue.
That's not the whole problem. The bigger problem is that he can do that, literally, every day.
