Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is stressing his bona fides as a dealmaker who'd be able to enter the White House and work with congressional Democrats to hammer out agreements.
"I think I'm going to be able to get along with Pelosi â I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi," Trump said Tuesday on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," referring to the House minority leader.
"Reid's going to be gone. I've always had a decent relationship with Reid," Trump said, referring to Harry Reid (D-Nev.), the Senate minority leader. "I always had a great relationship with Harry Reid."
Trump said he thought he'd get along with "just about everybody," including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), likely to be the next Senate Democratic leader, who Trump said he was "close to ... in many in ways."

Trump only fights against Republicans. He's got a long history of working with Democrats because he shares their values, their support of crony capitalism, and their desire for a bigger government.

this is going to be red meat for the antiâs that are principled and self righteously oppose on the surface any thing they perceive as a glimmer of disagreement with their very narrow views
......................................................
While on the underside they believe their electeds who’ve been lying and will continue to lie about their conservatism just for the sucker vote. I agree with you TUNNEL VISION is in full force.

Has this forum lost all semblance of sanity?

Just a Question: Why Can't congressional Democrats work with us to hammer out agreements. Why are we the ones that must compromise and water down our Positions?

An autocrat is what they want; an autocrat is what theyâll get. Wouldn't mind if it was just them.
The problem is, the rest of us get him, too.

Trump has been a political chameleon most of his life. He’s claiming to have profoundly changed himself into a conservative. Even though I hope it’s true, it is perfectly reasonable to questions his bonafides. Trump and his supporters want us to trust in him as an article of faith. It may be moot at this point in time, but not challenging his past is a yuge mistake. Past is prologue.

Deals are going to be made. The question is, are you going to capitulate to Democrats like the current Republicans or get a good deal for America when making a deal

Here is how he's always worked with them. See the link. He's always worked with them to build a bigger, crony capitalist government. He's been a Democrat and statist his whole life.

Trump can do a 180 on his values and positions and not lose the Trump supporters. That's not the whole problem. The bigger problem is that he can do that, literally, every day.

Do you understand that Reagan went over the heads of congress to get anything done? Tip was there because the Democrats controlled the congress. I think Paul Ryan is there now. Leaders lead.
To: ScottinVA
Trumpâs brilliance just makes it more possible for him to make it happen. Could you cultists just LISTEN to yourselves.
Substitute "0bama" for "Trump" and play back the messianic nonsense your spouting.

I know. And when he does it, they praise him for his brilliance and tell us we don't get it. They never act like, "Hey, that's not what we believe." So it's a little scary. And if they didn't care about conservative values, why did these Trumpersters not support an honest liberal statist instead of a covert, phony conservative?
