Donald Trump Tuesday tore into rival GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, calling him a "liar" and a "nasty" person who nobody likes â and said he is a "lone wolf" like President Barack Obama, only "more strident."
"Ted Cruz lies," the front-runner for the party's nomination told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" program. "He is a liar. That's why nobody likes him. That's why the Senate people won't endorse him. He stands in the middle of the Senate floor and can't make a deal with anybody. He's a jerk."

Ted didn’t go to Washington to be liked by other politicians he’s there to represent his constituents in Texas.
Question: what if Trump is the nominee? Will you vote for Hillary?
I guess if Cruz isn’t the nominee then it is another year of hold my nose and vote for a non-conservative to try and keep the socialist/commies at bay. Makes it tough to vote my conscience when it is always a lesser of two evils.
I have not had my candidate in the final vote since 1984.
I can only speak for one of the adds, being uninformed re the other. But one states clearly that Trump bulldozed a widow’s house. Trump never owned the house and never bulldozed it. How is that not a total and complete bold faced lie?
So much for the bromance
This last week will be mean like when Hitler drank tequila...really mean
There is some truth in what Donald says with regards to Cruz in the Senate
Problem is most here including myself see his behavior as justified usually and far less pejorative than the Senate itself
Re:”Palin will be Trumps running mate.”
Once a loser always a loser.
I agree 100% with your statement.
That is why I chose him in the Senate Primary and again in the Senate Election.
Just wow.
After 8 years of Obama if we have power
Gridlock is not an option
Do the word sanctimonious have a familiar ring?
And ads by Cruz saying Trump supports abortion and that he knocked down an old ladyâs house are not an attack?
I think both sides need to get real about what is or is not an attack.
A puff piece on how much Trumpâs kids love him is not an attack on Trump. The same with Cruz reading to his kids.
But ANYTHING that goes after ANYTHING in either personâs past or present IS an attack. And when attacked, I expect the other person to respond.
If they will NOT respond to an attack, then I donât want them as my president.
Do you want another âmuzzle Palin McCainâ, a âtake it from Crowley Romneyâ, a âViagra for dinner Doleâ?
Yep. I think the BJ Clinton episode back in December is illustrative here. Trump smacked down Hillary in one tweet while Cruz cut and run on the issue.
Exactly!
Do you feel that Congress will pass things that will actually be beneficial?
Please show me something that has been lately.
The only non-Gridlock I would be in favor of is having Congress pass laws to stop the bad ones they have passed over the years, and devolving the power back to the states.
Beyond that, I am not interested, and “Gridlock” will be a good thing.
The closer we get to the primaries, the more rabid the TDS FReaks get.
Only because she defeated Trump in court!
‘He dropped the purchase and the lady’s house was never bulldozed. It is still standing unless her family has sold it to someone else.’
The woman sold it to another buyer for 1.2 million less than Trump offered her for it.
Question: what if Trump is the nominee? Will you vote for Hillary?
No, I will also NEVER vote for any Democrat (which is also why I won’t vote for Trump).
I will either by pass voting for POTUS or vote third party if there is an acceptable choice.
Touche. hahaha. you are correct.
It will be Palin or someone Palinesque. It will be a conservative icon. It’s the only way he can get the hardliners here and elsewhere.
I keep saying that, while Cruz is my first choice head and shoulders above everyone else, Trump is my second choice and I don’t have a third choice, its Cruz or Trump, and thats it.
Trump and Cruz have finally had to drop the defacto alliance, and I’m sorry to see it.
Still, there are lines that they should not cross if they expect their opponent’s supporters to rally around them after the primary. Most people will want to bury the hatchet and go after the Democrats as a united front, but it isn’t automatic and it isn’t a blank check. If you don’t respect your opponent, at least respect your opponent’s supporters who you will need.
