An active shooter was reported at Navy Medical Center San Diego Tuesday morning, the organization stated on social media.
The shooter was âjust reportedâ in building No. 26, located at 34800 Bob Wilson Dr., the center said on Facebook just after 8 a.m.
âAll occupants are advised to run, hide or fight,â the post warned.
Non-emergency personnel were asked to stay away from the compound.
Additional information was not immediately known.
The facility has a staff of more than 6,500 military and civilian personnel, and aims to provide medical care to military service members, their families, and those who served in the past, according to its website.
It is located in San Diego Countyâs Balboa Park area.
“I CAN ONLY HOPE THE SOLDIERS ARE ARMED!”
But...that could be dangerous.
Someone in power with common sense has got to start allowing folks on military bases to concealed carry. If not everyone, swear in a good chunk of them as deputy constables or some damn thing. But do something.
I'm starting to wonder if there was even a shooting at all. Apparently, one witness "heard" three gunshots and that's it.
Pray that the sailors and Marine Guards are armed.
Off course the military hating cabal of Obama/Jarett/Clinton will not allow our military to be armed to defend themselves and others.
“I CAN ONLY HOPE THE SOLDIERS ARE ARMED!”
With you know who in the white hut, not a chance.
It was a republican that started this mess. Back in my day, we could bring weapons on base.
I’m not sure who will fix this problem.

Weapons but no ammo.
Perfect day for the 9th District to return their Peruta decision
What happened with this. Dropped from the news?
Only news so far is there was someone who shot three times into the air, and no injuries reported.
People are being led out of the building by police with their arms raised. No report on the shooter.
Arguments were done with en banc Circuit in June of 2015. Still awaiting decision.
Can’t find author of “run, hide or fight” statement. Anybody know where this originated?
A post on the medical center's Facebook page advised occupants to "run, hide or fight," the protocol advised by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in response to an active shooter.
“Weapons but no ammo.”
Reminds me of ‘Barney Fif’.
Oh it was on PMSNBC. No wonder I couldn’t find it. Thanks!
Here is one very credible source. This evolving training program is designed to save lives. It should be routinely reviewed as it evolves, by every person in every institution in America.
