Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr., the son of the late televangelist, endorsed Donald Trump on Tuesday, giving Republican front-runner the blessing of one of the evangelical communityâs biggest names just days before the Iowa caucuses.

“The idiocy in that statement is a President can’t do anything about them, nor should he.”
Why is the statement idiocy? The President should have a moral compass and as defacto leader of the party choose the party’s statement of direction.
If evangelicals are supporting Trump, I would think there is an expectation that Trump’s moral compass matches theirs. Unless of course they are not Conservatives.
You misunderstood.....deliberately?
I DO value opinions of those I hold in high esteem......
.....that would NOT be Russell Moore
It would be, Falwell, Franklin Graham, Jeffress
good news
what I cant stand is how people who ignore right and wrong preach to those of us who try to maintain what was good, only to see people who refuse to believe in right and wrong, act like evangelists of wrong, just to be spiteful.
You act no different than democrats.
"I guess we just need to give up on it then right?" Who is 'we'? Are you a quitter? I am not. I just am astute enough to recognize when repeated tactics simply don't work, a different approach may well be needed.
"Why not just vote Democrat if our principles donât matter?" So you are considering collaboration with the enemy? "What is the difference of compromising (when it matters most) and voting for the other side if both sides have a history of saying the same thing??" Compromise is the art of successful politics. Those that do not bend and fight unwinnable fights, seldom achieve much of anything in the real world.
You said you were a Pastor, would you mind if I asked what Church that would be? If you dont want to answer I understand
“The idiocy in that statement is a President can’t do anything about them, nor should he. What would Cruz do? Follow Obama’s lead in making laws with executive orders?”
Cruz has correctly stated that the courts issue opinions, not legally binding diktates. The only way a judicial opinion can become law is if a legislature passes a law that agrees with a court’s opinion. End of story. On that Cruz is constitutionally correct. Trump needs to agree with Cruz on this matter.
This illegal garbage of courts and unelected bureaucrats writing laws needs to stop if we want our constitutional republic back. Both institutions need to be put back in the bottle and corked.
