Donald Trump: I’ve always had good relationships with Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid
The Washington Times ^ | 1/26/2016 | David Sherfinski

Posted on 01/26/2016 8:01:46 AM PST by agrarianlady

"I've always had a good relationship with Nancy Pelosi. I've never had a problem," Mr. Trump said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "[Harry] Reid's going to be gone. I always had a decent relationship with Reid, although lately obviously I haven't been dealing with him, so he'll use my name as the ultimate ... of the billionaires in terms of people you don't want."

"But I've always had a great relationship with Harry Reid," Mr. Trump said. "Frankly, if I weren't running for office, I'd be able to deal with [Pelosi], I'd be able to deal with Reid -- I'd be able to deal with anybody."

"But I think I'd be able to get along very well with Nancy Pelosi and just about everybody," he said. "Hey look, I think I'll be able to get along well with Schumer, Chuck Schumer. I was always very good with Schumer. I was close to Schumer in many ways."

Only if you then post all the tax breaks, incentives and land given (After taking it from someone else) to Trump by his Democratic Cronies? How about that?

Trump believes that our government is being run by “idiots”, which is true as far as it goes, but he’s never spoken about making it smaller, just changing the people who run it so it can be manged better.

That’s what Romney was selling, and he’s no conservative. Not even a “severe” one.

How did that work out?

Reid’s likely successor as Minority Leader is Upchuck Schumer, from New York. I bet Donald has a nice, cozy relationship with him.

“Yet another example of how Trump is making people gullible.”

I hate to break it to ya, but the people who are enamored with Trump were already gullible!

Based on what I am reading from the Trump supporters here, I will say Trump was right about one thing:

He could shoot someone on 5th avenue and they would still support him.

He said last week he would make deals with these people and doubled down today, but no one cares.

If you liked the big government of the last 2-3 decades, you will love Trump.

As for the lobby and donator class controlling things:

Make the Federal government small, with less power, an the influence will diminish.
It will not be there if the power and size of government shrinks. There will be nothing to lobby for.

Pass a law that says, if you are under a gov’t contract, business or union, you cannot lobby the government. You cannot collective bargain against We the People.

Trump has not talked about reducing the size and scope of the Federal Government.

More of the same is coming our way.

Just make sure those deals are always on our side. We better win those deals.

“And Cruz has good relationships with...

pretty much nobody”

You Trumpkins need to coordinate better. Half of you are saying Cruz is a Chamber of Commerce stooge, and the other half are saying he couldn’t get anything done because he can’t get along with anyone.

It’s either one or the other, both attacks can’t possibly be true at the same time.

“$100,000 from the worst crony capitalist company on the planet.”

Liar. Even your own graphic proves that over $91k of the $96k came from INDIVIDUALS, not from the company itself. They just happened to list Goldman Sachs as their employer.

“Just make sure those deals are always on our side. We better win those deals.

Will Trump compromise one thing to get something else?
Say he gets the wall , but in return, signs on to boost legal immigration, or pick your issue, any of them you like.

“Deals” are not “Deals” unless both sides of the table walk away satisfied they both got something in return.

What are we willing to negotiate away to get what Trump is promising?

What is “our” side?
I know what I think it means.
More importantly, what is “Trump’s” side?

Ouji board tell u this? I submit, there are some very bad actors pulling strings around the globe. Not just the jacobins within. Now I ask you in all candor. If there's going to be ANY conservative progress Made In the USA, whom would you like advocating on your side. If the man can deal with anyone, in this case the cretins of the title, do you honestly think he will let them get the better of him? Or will he win?

We live in a Bazaro World where even conservatives on FR are drinking the Kool-Aid.

We are so screwed.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
Trump supporters here will do all they can do to justify Trumps leftist establishment support.

This is why I stepped back from FR, I saw the writing on the wall last year. Now I lurk, but could not keep from adding my 2 cents on this when I saw your comment.
