Toronto Star reporter Daniel Dale got more than 600 retweets for beaming out this Trump quote on Saturday, although when I googled it, I came up empty.
Trump acknowledging the act: "When I'm president, I'm a different person. I can be the most politically correct person you've ever seen."

And that’s what I’m afraid of...once in office, Trump betraying most of what he said he stood for. It’s happened before...I pray it doesn’t happen one final time before the Republic is irretrievably lost.

You just have to sit back and watch in amazement. Can’t wait to read the Trumpettes supporting their idol and telling us it’s good that he’s going to join the establishment in DC and govern like a liberal insider.

I believe he’s a Gemini, sign of the Twins, the double mind. I think the only other Gemini POTUS/candidate was JFK.

I believe what he means is that is is not the “loud-mouth arrogant bully” like you see him on the media or campaign trail. He is calculated, and reserved in appearance while carrying out actions.
If you ever see the videos at rallies when he is talking one on one with people in the crowds, he is as if on the opposite end of the spectrum of the bombastic character when on stage.

He won’t be betraying what he stands for. He supports a YUGE central government. He believes it doesn’t work because he’s not in charge of it. He is a campaign convert.

You Trump-hating clowns need to get a grip. What Trump was saying (and should have been evident) is that ON the campaign trail, he is as partisan as anyone and takes no prisoners, however what he is saying in this quote (that is being twisted into all sorts of obscene pretzel-like shapes), is that as President, he is more than able to conduct himself in a diplomatic manner, because he recognizes that continuing in campaign mode once elected is NOT a recipe for success (see the misadventures of Bubba Clinton and their fully staffed 'war room', plus the current Kenyan buffoon and his crew).
But by all means, indulge your animus against Trump, and stock up on potassium tablets for the ol' blood pressure.
Carry on, as you were.

And thatâs what Iâm afraid of...once in office, Trump betraying most of what he said he stood for. Itâs happened before... Yup, it has happened before. Their names are:
George H.W. Bush
George W. Bush
John Boehner
Paul Ryan
Mitch McConnell
And the list of GOP-E sell-outs goes on, and on, and on .......

Did you watch the whole thing? This was one tiny fragment of a two minute point.
The question was - as president, can you tone down the rhetoric?
He answer is yes.
There’s a time and a place for everything.
