Jimmy Carter says his body is responding well to treatments, but the former U.S. President says he's not entirely free from cancer.
Speaking exclusively with ET's Brooke Anderson in Plains, Georgia, during the Painting, Paula [Deen] and a President fundraiser, Carter opened up about the struggle he still faces.
"They haven't detected any cancer, but sometimes the cancer spots [return]," Carter said, "including in my brain."

Well he’s been a cancer on this country for 90 plus years so he should know.

I thought Obamacare was supposed to put an end to these expensive medical treatments where the patient has no chance of a recovery and greatly enhanced life expectancy??

Not my favorite person, but I believe that at least he loves America. My prayers for him and his family.

Jimmy Carter: the cancer America just cannot get rid of.

Maybe Jimmy should have gone to Cuba for his medical treatment.

"When the FDA announced on Thursday that it had approved Merck's ($MRK) Keytruda for melanoma, analysts and doctors hailed the arrival of the first cancer drug in the U.S. to block the PD-1 pathway--a powerful new way to mobilize patients' immune systems to fight their disease. Then came this news: Merck said Keytruda (pembrolizumab) would cost $12,500 per patient per month, or $150,000 per year."http://www.fiercepharma.com/story/mercks-melanoma-game-changer-keytruda-likely-bolster-drug-pricing-debate/2014-09-05
Well, good for Mr. Carter! At least Keytruda works, which is more than you can saw about many of the treatments newly covered by Obamacare.

So the real answer to the question all along was that he wasn’t totally cancer free. He’s a decent guy and I do feel sorry for him.
To: fhayek
President Jimmy Carter seems like a genuinely nice man who simply made for a terrible POTUS back in his day.
I concur with fhayek that President Carter cherishes our beloved United States of America and he likes Americans.

...and I also concur with dfwgator that President Carter was never a big fan of our trusted ally Israel.

Jimmy Carter IS a cancer. Particularly, a moral cancer. Baby-killer, anti-Semite.
To: Captain Peter Blood
He’s not a decent guy. He was our first aggressively pro-abortion President. He is a monster, as are all pro-aborts.
