The death toll from a recent wave of attacks by Russian and Syrian warplanes on areas controlled by the Islamic State (IS) has risen to 164 over the past 72 hours, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR). The dead are said to include 43 children and 25 women.
The UK-based monitoring group said the attacks targeted towns across the countryside in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, and Raqqa, the de facto capital of IS's self-proclaimed caliphate. The SOHR described the bombings as "revenge massacres." Last week, IS reportedly kidnapped an estimated 400 civilians from Syrian government-held areas in Deir al-Zor. Though 270 of the captives were later released, the militants were accused of carrying out beheadings and targeting pro-government fighters and their families.

If we had followed those rules immediately after WWII there would have been no cold war, no Vietnam war, no Korean war and all would have been free including Eastern Europe.

Why would we want to invade, defeat, and occupy the USSR, resulting in another couple thousands of our troops killed? We would have walked into a meat grinder, to finish the war Hitler started.
It’s war.
If Russia lined up a bunch of Muslim women and children and cut their throats on camera, or if Russia put a bunch of Muslim civilians in cages and burned them alive, that would be a reprehensible massacre. But it’s ISIS that did that. Russia is bombing legitimate terrorist targets. Those terrorists are hiding behind women and children so they will be protected and can murder more women and children (hint: that’s what terrorists do).
Russia is killing the terrorists, which is perfectly legitimate. I’d rather see Russia’s success in killing more terrorists than innocents, instead of seeing each of those terrorists rape and murder far more innocent victims. The humane option is exactly what Russia is doing. Terrorists are evil, and dead terrorists are a good thing, even if a few civilians unavoidably die with them.
So, about 100 terrorists surrounded themselves with women and children. Too ad
