In fact until 1934 Ted Cruz would not have even been considered a citizen of the USA. A natural born citizen requires no laws to make them a citizen they just are. Cruz citizenship depents on naturalization act passed by Congress. He was naturalized at birth via Congressional legislation. He is NOT a natural born citizen if we follow original intent.
Now if the constitution is a "living document" then yeah "what ever". However not going by original intent is what gave us abortion on demand, same sex marriage and the IRS. So you might want to rethink that living document argument you are making.
Actually Fox it is up to the candidate to submit their qualifications and then up to the party to approve or disapprove. Of course you can always go the Pelosie route and just resubmit certification papers with offensive parts removed.
