Businessman Donald Trump

Trump is now the definitive favorite for the Republican nomination, despite the fact that his demise has been predicted again and again.

Victory in Iowa is by no means assured for the real estate mogul. But he has bounced back into the lead in the RealClearPolitics (RCP) average of polls in the state after brief periods during which retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and, more recently, Cruz had displaced him.

Having lost the lead twice, and coming back twice...that is impressive.

Or maybe he never lost the lead, and the Establishment media is trying to maintain what little credibility they have left.

My conclusion from about 2 months ago, was that the media was not properly reporting Trump’s lead in Iowa. I always thought that he would win Iowa by 5-10% and if he gets record turnouts it can be 20% or more.

The media now has to report more accurately to save face. Trump has so beat up the media that his supporters loathe them and they cannot afford to offend because of ratings. Trump has the media cornered. What a man!

I think I heard someone say Trump leads by 15. He has to win Iowa by 15% to best Cruz. Trump has a long way to go to tie the primary down.

I live in one of the late states that usually does not matter, this is the first time we may count.
