Thi is the kind of hubris that turns a lot of conservatives and others off of Mr. Trump. It was also reflected in his remarks about shooting people on Fifth Avenue and not losing a single voter.

It's not "hubris". You don't see the Obama posters and Obama gear in the inner city anymore. Black Lives Matter has made life in the inner city even worse. What has Obama done to support police or law and order? To make fragile neighborhoods more vibrant and safer? What about jobs for blacks? They're going to invaders.
Trump the job creator who says "US jobs for US citizens" has a strong, consistent message for black voters. Add to that Trump, both on Celebrity Apprentice and in his campaign, has not been shy about giving blacks opportunities to thrive.

"My people say that I could stand on 5th avenue and shoot someone........" is not the same as,
" I could stand on 5th avenue and shoot someone."
Small omission, but like misuse of commas, changes the entire meaning.
Ignorance or purposeful?
