Gerrado Corrales, 20, of Seaside told the audience of about 40 people how he nearly died while in custody at ICE's Adelanto Detention Center. Corrales is confined to a wheelchair. He was paralyzed from a gunshot wound suffered in a drive-by shooting in 2014 while walking home from a music festival in Monterey.

Great an illegal alien comes to America becomes paralyzed because of a gang shooting gets arrested again and somehow think we American taxpayers have to subsidize his health care for the rest of his life.

I’m pretty sure that every single detention center offers the option to everyone who is there to immediately self-deport and surrender their case. No one is in a detention center except by choice and gaming on the immigration courts to be so clogged that they’ll get let out again before their case comes up.

And when ordered to deport, they are more than half the time simply let go with the court order in their hands.. No follow up to see if they actually follow the court’s orders until the next time they are picked up.

A close friend works for ICE and she says they have started to video their detention areas for the protection of the ICE agents. They found that when a scheduled visitation by a Mexican consul, media or celebrity occurs the detainees are told by the “activists” to cause themselves injuries so that they claim brutality by their guards and get maximum publicity.
