Martial law has been decalred in New York City. This comes in response to this year's biggest snow storm.
The New York Police Department is threatening to arrest anyone on the road. They are calling it a "travel ban."
"After 2:30 p.m and you're on the road, we will arrest you @NYPDChiefofDept says," NYPD says.
"Stay off the road, @NYPDChiefofDept says. We don't want to have to arrest you."

Yeah, fire protection. You’d think there would be some general public consideration about this, ideally. Firetrucks are not flying unicorns. Though they should be able to negotiate road snow.
Maybe they don’t even care unless you get stuck and need a tow. Even though they could care. Just keep the roads running, seems to be the unspoken rule.
If the retards just died on their own, that`d be ok, but they block the roads and prevent the prompt clearing. Well here`s a solution, during such an emergency, all tort claims for damage to private vehicles stuck in such a blizzard are hereby negated, declared null and void. You go out and get stuck, it gets removed as efficiently as possible, if that means a wrecker with scrap claw to toss it off into the ditch, so be it.
They cant arrest muslims or illegal aliens but they will arrest you
Gotta love dem New Yawk values.
I think the reason is that the Turnpike doesn’t have a chain law like states out west. 18 wheelers couldn’t pull the west bound grade up to the Allegheny Mtn. Tunnel. Gridlock.
Another chapter in the Pussyfication Of America.
What about illegal aliens from terrorist countries? They are free to go?
I just pulled up Times Square Webcam and that is unbelievable...First time I’ve ever seen empty streets in New York City...
The problems are a little different here. If a car gets stuck and an ambulance can’t get through, a life could be lost, just because someone couldn’t stay home.
I was just out. Everyone walking in the street and an SUV comes by. But I figured it could have been something important.
Just saw an ambulance going about 5 miles an hour with red light on....
If they are on the road to arrest you, why are they not arrested too? Re: Equal protection under the law? They could be placing their lives in jeopardy if armed citizens place them under arrest. As they should.
Plenty of people still out and walking around...Down the middle of streets...
Incrementally testing martial law?
There’s usually a siren a minute. Not now. Maybe because people can’t get into trouble if they’re all home.
Try to arrest me and I will kill you.
I am amazed by the government today ruling that you must not do this and that.
Back in the 1960’s, when I was in high school, if we had a snow day we jumped into a car to drive up the mountain to ski.
