Why use “bias” in the total. Do you have a bias against Trump?
bias
noun
1.
prejudice in favor of or against one thing, person, or group compared with another, usually in a way considered to be unfair.
Its more than obvious FR is in the tank for Trump, I said this a couple times recently and people took offense to it.
The furniture will get thrown until the nominee is efffectively selected. Then things will calm down to the normal level of spite. It’ll ramp up again about 2 months from the election when the Drama Queens come out in earnest giving vent to their grievances over the nominee. Whomever that may be.
Okay, that is a valid opinion.
Let me run this by you. Is arguing continually the best way to address this, or is allowing people to actually vote for who they desire a good way to release the energy?
The Caucus allows people to express their views, and puts to rest the claim that one side or the other is backed more.
Right now it looks like there is a respectable showing for each man. I think that’s great.
I don’t get upset that Cruz shows as well as he does. I’m perfectly fine with him besting Trump if that’s what forum participants back.
It won’t sway my vote. It’s still interesting.
As a forum we want to lead Conservatives. How do we do that if we are afraid to take a stand?
We are taking a stand. We’re airing our beliefs.
Others can see the vote break-down and see that some folks don’t back Bush, Rubio, and the rest.
I don’t see a Trump win in our Caucus as a put-down of Cruz. Cruz is making a respectful showing. He should feel good about that, because it makes him look good.
I see this as positive overall. I don’t see it as allowing the GOPe to take advantage of us.
We’ve got a better handle on things than they do by far.
This forum goes through civil wars every general election. That’s a good thing. It shouldn’t be as pronounced as it is, but we air Conservative issues like no other place.
If our people are thinking it, the general public is. Free Republic is where they can come to see what others are thinking, and not just others, but very Conservative others.
The vote validates our people, and it validates other people’s thoughts.
Hey, at least I wasn't rude enough to say "If you ruz, you lose". ;-)

If you’ll note, this confirmed the way I used it was accepted, and then said, “...especially if...” Note that it doesn’t say only if...
This word is used this manner on a fairly frequent basis.
I think of this as preference. Bias.
- - - - -
a particular tendency, trend, inclination, feeling, or opinion, especially (My added, but not exclusively) one that is preconceived or unreasoned: illegal bias against older job applicants; the magazineâs bias toward art rather than photography;
our strong bias in favor of the idea.
(My added: again, or our slight bias in favor of the candidate.)
No negative connotation is required.
I respect Trump. My use of the word was not biased toward him, simply noting that the vote was biased toward him.
Vote Trump
Thanks, friend.
I want everyone who posted “Vote Name” on this thread, to be sure they understand, this is not the Caucus voting thread.
I provided a link in post 2 or 3 on this thread.
“...Whatâs gonna happen here at FR when Trump takes Cruz on as VP? Or, vice versa?...”
The sheer weight of the effort needed to rationalize it after all the insults and invective will cause quite a number of Trump supporter’s heads to explode.
Thank you for doing these DO. Very interesting to see where folks stand.
The only thing you might want to do, if it is even possible, is make the thread more prominent somehow. I don’t know what’s possible with FR (sticky-threads or whatever). The first time I found it, I stumbled across it purely by accident. I think I missed the first day or two.
But yeah, great job with it!! Like you, I just wish there was more participation.
Yes, I agree with you.
I don’t particularly care where individuals stand, but it’s great to see the group consensus.
I love that.
Obviously YOU haven’t been paying attention to what the Cruz supporters post to the Trump supporters...even on “HAPPY” rally threads. You should !
Actually, it is utterly insignificant if you're talking about the Freerepublic Caucus of only 200-300 votes. In a poll of 60,000 respondents, it is much more meaningful. In a national election of 100,000,000 votes, it is substantial. In statistics, sample size is extremely important.
Very funny !
I get that from people.
You’re not alone in thinking that.
I don’t want to create more work for Jim. He was gracious to allow me to post this to breaking news, and the link has been there for hours now.
Each day you can search “caucus” and the threads will come up.
Very true. I’ve become more anti voting over time, and I might well double the NO vote numbers for the caucus. LOL.
Well, if you voted that way, it would double it. LOL
