I respectfully disagree. Much of the same sort of dynamic that is playing out on the right is also playing out on the left. The leftists despise their establishment as well. Frankly the only difference I see is the relative tolerance for skulduggery among the denizens of my former party.
If Bernie is winning big, they may allow him to be the sacrificial lamb and work instead on retaining or increasing congressional seats. It’s not as if we have any great affection for the ones we have, so they might have a wedge to exploit. Are there any conservatives who are going to cry a river should McCain lose his seat? If Kelly Ayotte loses hers?
The gop thinks in election cycles, the rats think in decades.
