PRINCETON, N.J. -- The American public estimates on average that 23% of Americans are gay or lesbian, little changed from Americans' 25% estimate in 2011, and only slightly higher than separate 2002 estimates of the gay and lesbian population. These estimates are many times higher than the 3.8% of the adult population who identified themselves as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender in Gallup Daily tracking in the first four months of this year.

Trend: Just your best guess, what percent of Americans today would you say are gay or lesbian?

The stability of these estimates over time contrasts with the major shifts in Americans' attitudes about the morality and legality of gay and lesbian relations in the past two decades. Whereas 38% of Americans said gay and lesbian relations were morally acceptable in 2002, that number has risen to 63% today. And while 35% of Americans favored legalized same-sex marriage in 1999, 60% favor it today.

The U.S. Census Bureau documents the number of individuals living in same-sex households but has not historically identified individuals as gay or lesbian per se. Several other surveys, governmental and non-governmental, have over the years measured sexual orientation, but the largest such study by far has been the Gallup Daily tracking measure instituted in June 2012. In this ongoing study, respondents are asked "Do you, personally, identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender?" with 3.8% being the most recent result, obtained from more than 58,000 interviews conducted in the first four months of this year.

That’s what happens when gays control the entire media industry, they can convince people there are a lot more of them than there really are.

The media hype has greatly inflated reality.

Most queers don’t live long after joining the ‘Gay’ community, either.

I refuse to watch them too. I even quit watching some house hunting shows because they kept popping up with same sex partners (one in three couples).

The world is warped enough without looking at it through a fun house lens. There are even a couple of series I refused to watch because the ads showed same sex kissing. That was enough for me.

You would think they would have learned something from J C Penny's. I seriously doubt much of it is essential to the story line (IOW, the story could have worked with straight characters), so they lost a viewer because of gratuitous faggotry.

Because the Gay Agenda is driving public policy. For instance AIDS research is sucking the lion share of money out of medical research. The disease is still mostly found in the homosexual drug community.

A lot of the LGBT crowd are misfit “wannabees” and counterculture types that want to chap their parents’/families’ collective butts. Comes right down to it, there are a good percentage of these pretend-LGBTs that may, at some time later in life, revert to their true type.

Or not, depends on how long they can hold on to their neuroses and spite.

Choosing other than the biological gender has always come down to be a choice, often made very early in life, and based on the suspicion that the chosen gender or role gets a better deal than the biological factors would indicate, and is tacitly or even openly supported in that decision.

Nurture versus nature. Nurture wins this one.

I would put the number at 15 percent. There are just too many of them. I swear you look around the TV channel and they are like roaches. I don’t blame Americans saying 25 percent.

I think the American public can be forgiven, considering that homosexuals are vastly over-represented on television networks.

The only reason that ”Americans” probably overestimate LGBT numbers is because the pro-gay, unconstitutionally big federal government, along with pro-gay activist state governments, in conjunction with the corrupt, pro-gay media, are all trying to indoctrinate Americans to think that way imo.

The consequence of deliberate media manipulation of American households by television and movies.

After "Silence of the Lambs" portrayed a homosexual as a sick murdering pervert, the Homosexual community of Los Angeles went nuts. They demanded Hollywood allow them to peruse movie and television scripts for material offensive to homosexuals.

The industry then created what amounts to a defacto homosexual censorship board for movie and television scripts.

It went from there to promoting specifically pro-homosexual scripts, characters, and plot lines.

By exerting constant pressure on the American people through the "homosexuals are normal" campaign, they have slowly convinced the newer members of society that homosexuals are not only everywhere, but that they are harmless and should be protected from "mean people" in society.

I keep telling people, our problems start with THE MEDIA. (both news and entertainment) These are the people who are steering the nation towards disaster.

My wife and I chuckle at how many of those couples seeking international homes on the show are homos. It's to the point, that though she loves those kinds of shows, she allows me to turn the channel when it's two homos.

If people tried to guess the pct. of homos in the general population by how often they appear on those house hunting shows, they'd probably guess 15-20 percent.

FWIW, the other night the wife wanted me to check out a spy movie on the BBC channel. So I read the info guide to her about the show. It involved some spy who was a homo and his relationship with his homo lover. I loudly said NO!!!, I didn't care to watch the show. We're getting deluged with this cr*p.
