The language is very similar to the proposed ballot measure in Nevada backed by the group and follows in the wake of a successful push in Washington in which the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, allied to MDA, chipped in $4 million to help win voters in that state in 2014. Fieldworks lists the Washington Ballot Initiative Network as a past client.

It ain't proposed in NV. It WILL be on the '16 ballot and bloomiin idjit and his mommunists minions will be out in droves pushing it. Rumor was that a lot of the "canvassers' were paid per signature but when brought to the AG's attention it was discarded. I over heard some of the speil outside the polling place we used (proper distance was maintained by the canvasser) and she promised no more gun deaths/gun violence and an end to domestic violence. Same canvasser outside the local post office with the same spiel. Oh, she also had the petition to "regulate and tax" marijuana sales so you could do a twofer if you wanted. That will also be on the ballot. Kinda a go ahead for recreational usage. Mostly approached females and most of them signed on without a second thought. Way more sigs than required for both so they WILL be on the 2016 ballot. Plus plenty of money and star power anti-gunners will be criss crossing the state soon.

There is plenty of money and smart people pushing these initiatives, and they do not care for the truth.

They can be beaten, but it will take a lot of effort to do so. They mine databases for low information voters to influence, then flood them with heavily slanted information to motivate them to the polls.

Maine? There’s a reason why you never hear about home invasions in Main. First even morons know just about every home carries.

Bloomberg exporting “New York Values”. No wonder folks out here in flyover country think of it that way.

Thanks Dean. At least some of us Nevadans are working to counter their crap but they sure got lots of money and lies to spread around. Where the hell is the multi-gazillionaire pro gun guy anyway?

How about background checks for politicians.

Especially sitting presidents...
