Krauthammer: If Just One More Establishment Figure Endorses Trump It Could Make Him Inevitable...
RCP ^ | Krauthammer

Posted on 01/22/2016 8:03:21 AM PST by RoosterRedux

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I think we're getting to a moment where there's a scenario that one can see. Which is, you get Bob Dole, who represents the old establishment, if you like, essentially choosing Trump over Cruz. Now, if Cruz loses Iowa, Trump wins convincingly, I think all he will need at that point is to have a single current establishment figure. Meaning a sitting governor or a sitting Senator endorse him.

Nobody has, everybody stayed away from him. But if there are people who think he's the winning ticket, he's going to win the nomination, I want to be on the right side of this. And you get one standing out there endorsing him. Sarah Palin doesn't -- meet that bill. Bob Dole does, but you know, he's yesterday's man.

If you get somebody today from the so-called establishment who endorses him, I think it becomes a flood. At that point the dam breaks and you will get a rush of other establishment figures who will rally around him. And that could be the point at which he becomes inevitable as the nominee.

BRET BAIER, "SPECIAL REPORT" ANCHOR: Why is it that no Senator has stepped up to endorse Ted Cruz? Not even his ally, Jeff Sessions as of yet on immigration?

Yeah, like the endorsement of some RINO Gov is going to make or break Trump.

I like Krauthammer, I really do...but from the start he’s been doing nothing but try and get Jeb elected. I guess the current tactic is to try and convince us that the “establishment” loves Trump, therefore we should turn away from him... and go for a “true conservative” like Jeb.

It would be a dream to have a man who humbles himself before God in the WH.

But America will not elect that man. America does not deserve that man.

We have allowed the murder of 60M babies and we have turned from God.

We will probably get another Godless egomaniac if it’s Clinton or Trump. And we’ve earned it.

Well, Charles, what are you waiting for?

If the smartest conservative out there, Juan Williams, endorses Trump then Charles will come around.

Ok - Done.

I endorse Trump, because he is best suited to save the USA from the clutches of the Uniparty.

PS - I also like Cruz, but he is second best at this most critical task.

I got a couple of questions for all the “republicans” that are vehemently against Trump....

If Trump is the nominee, who are you going to vote for???

Are you gonna vote?????

Exactly. They're all out to save their own skins.

But, it would signal that Trump has won and the healing of the party can begin.

And, yes. Those that currently oppose him will come around.

“I don’t get it. Does this mean that the Trump “revolution” is now the GOP establishment choice?”

No, it’s just more BS propaganda.

Having done everything they could to destroy Trump, the media and GOPe simply asked if there was anything left they could possibly do to turn Trump’s supporters against him.

“Well, that’s easy!” one highly paid GOP-e strategist says, “What do Trump’s supporters hate?
“US!” chimes in some GOP-e rocket scientist.
“Okay, then! Let’s put out the story that Trump is really one of US - you know, kind of like an undercover Jeb! with funny hair!”
“That’ll do it! Then we can FINALLY destroy him, and turn the election over to... oh, wait... um... has anyone looked at the polls?”
“Polls mean nothing. Jeb is going to win!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah... stop that. You’re talking to ME now. Has anyone looked at the polls...?”
“Of course! If destroy Trump we’ll lose the election and put Hillary in there. So what? We survived eight years of Obama... we can survive anything. And we’ll have eight more years to groom someone for our next shot. Hey, does anyone here have George P. Bush’s phone number?”

We have voted for “conservatives” Republicans and gained control of the Congress and where has that got us??? Nothing that we were told would happen...Happened....
Now, we are told (by these same people) that Trump would be bad and that (other than Cruz) we should vote for any of the candidates because they are “conservatives”...

Yep and yep. None of these conservatives have the gumption, experience or the will to really fight...especially after they get to Washington and see what they're up against.

Trump will NOT back down and I believe what he's SAYS he's campaigning for which ARE conservative values.

No. Cruz should sit on the Supreme Court.

While I'm for Trump, the Court would be vastly improved by having Cruz as a Justice, and that influence would last for decades.

Vote, voting, voter.

One votes, presumably, to further their personal political beliefs.

Also, some vote to make a "statement", unfortunately, the statement is lost in the background noise.

I have seen some say they will vote for the nominee, sane choice.

I have seen some say they will abstain. Whatever, thanks for playing, pick up a door prize on the way out.

I have seen some will vote for Hillary, because the end is coming, and the quicker, the better, so that we can then start the long road to recovery.

I have no printable comment for them.

Want to see the real Trump? Wait until he starts getting the establishment lining up for a spot at the trough and see how he reacts.

I hope I’m wrong.
