Ashley McGuire is just 30, but sheâll feel like a senior citizen at Fridayâs March for Life, which will be teeming with pro-life teenagers and millennials on the National Mall.
âItâs like a rock concert. I mean, Iâm starting to feel old,â says Ms. McGuire, a senior fellow with The Catholic Association, with a laugh. âYou see these teenagers â theyâre organized and they have these chants and slogans, and these really well-designed, edgy, thoughtful posters.â
Her experience at the last few rallies backs up what polling reveals: that the under-35 generation may be more liberal than their parents on social issues such as gay marriage, but not when it comes to abortion.

I hope they stay safe. It is going to be dangerous to be in DC today. They definitely better bundle up and hopefully get back to shelter when the snow starts falling. I thought that with a state of emergency, they would have postponed this until it is safer. God Bless these patriots. I am a little disappointed none of the candidates at least thought of going to this. I understand perhaps canceling their showing up due to weather, but at least they should have made arrangements to go to it. Obviously none of them put abortion at the top of their priorities list. You would think that second tier candidates would want to make a showing. Cruz of course would never go, but Trump or Huckabee or Carson I’d expect to show.
This must be some kind of mistake. We are constantly being told the pro-life movement is being led by old white men telling women what to do with their bodies. o.O
