*This* is the why we're so angry.
The GOPe and the 'conservative' media is trying to shame us back onto the plantation. Name calling didn't work, so now they're claiming that we were never 'real' conservatives to begin with.
They are trying to choose our candidate and we won't let them.
And yes. This kind of anger *will* drive people to the polls.
Trump’s positions on the 2nd Amendment are marginal at best...
Trump on Gun Control, although he believes we should have firearms for self-defense...
-Trump believes that assault weapons should be banned, “who needs them except criminals and police?”
-He wants a longer waiting period for hand guns, rifles and shotguns. “We should be able to tell within 72 hours if a person has a record or mental issues that would prohibit ownership.”
I’m sorry, but ANY candidate who is NOT in FULL support of the 2nd Amendment is already on my $hit list...they have a mountain to climb to get my support.
The amazing part is that the 'collective' interpretation got any votes at all. No scholar of either history or the Constitution can make a sane case for a right "...of the people..." to be anything but an individual right.
The reason Trump is winning is because he is not a “conservative”
his conservatism is not the far right extreme of Ted Cruz but includes the great mass of conservatives further up the curve.
Nor do I, which is why this election is so important. Not something to be decided emotionally. Even if revenge against the treachery of the GOPe is the goal, it is a dish best served cold. Serious and unemotional deliberation should take place before deciding on a candidate, and I’m not seeing that. Either we choose wisely, or in the future we will choose between chains and voting form the rooftops.
So, just so I’m clear here:

Nothing really amazes me anymore, Disgusts, yes. Amazes, no.
If Americans ever give up their Right to keep and bear arms, they deserve what will follow. That is one Right they need to defend to the uttermost. With their lives and blood if necessary. If they say, “Hell with it. I do not want to lose my job and big house. I do not want to give up my drug using, my screwing everything that moves, my watching sports, my Government freebies. I am not worried, the police will protect us.” Well, what history has demonstrated follows, they deserve. Myself, I do not have many years, at the most , remaining. But, when I die, it will not be in a Government Camp. It will either be in my yard, or my house. And I will die as I was born, free.
The 2nd Amendment is my litmus test for a politician.
Bert, he sold out every driver in the US, and the domestic oil industry over Iowa. There hasn't been a vote cast and he is saying things like the EPA can require the use of more ethanol to stop our dependence on foreign oil. We have drilled and produced our way to a glut of oil in a decade. There's plenty more where that came from, especially if the government was behind the effort instead of trying to thwart it, so that emotional argument doesn't wash. The EPA requiring something means he has no intention of reining in the very agency which has done more to damage American industry than any other, much less abolish it.
Think about that.
I, for one, am not liking what I am seeing, we've already been sold out to make the deal--or Iowa has.

People anger at the elites is certainly more than justified. The con artist Trump is just the wrong beneficiary of this anger.

On the Progressive side, they are running to Montgomery Burns, aka Bernie Sanders. Sanders is a socialist who ran 3rd party and as an independent many times. Sanders was elected to the US House of Representatives as an independant!
Now, Sanders puts on a Democrat hat?? LoL!
