How exactly will Cruz get anything done when everyone in Congress hates him? [vanity]

Posted on 01/21/2016 10:03:02 PM PST by springwater13

It's a serious question. What's he going to do when Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell tell him to go to hell? Is he going to tell them they are liars on television and then call into Mark Levin's show and whine? Being President doesn't work like that.

Is he going to be like President Obama and try to use executive orders to ram his legislation through?

Compare that to Trump's approach from Art of the Deal where he asks for 3x more than what he wants, completely disorients his competitors and shakes the ground beneath everyone, and then gets what he wants.

Maybe banning all Muslims to the country isn't realistic. But surely banning Syrian refugees and hell all refugees until we figure out what the hell is going on isn't a radical position right now. It was a radical idea before Trump. That's Art of the Deal.

EO’s will be his only option because, as you know, God doesn’t make deals. As The Anointing is upon him, Ted’s EO’s will have the power and authority of heaven.

Trust no politician. Never, ever trust any politician on a mission from God.

By going to the American people,he has said he can’t do it alone, when congress people face re-election it’s,amazing what you can get done by burning up the phone lines.
But if you want 100% government run healthcare, you can deal with bureaucrats instead of your doctor,I would rather not

Yes. And that’s very troubling for this site.

“Ted is just like The Donald. Got a loan from the epitome of the Democrat Establishment GoldmanSachs with no collateral. Except for the favors they knew he would return someday.”

Cruz took a loan from his margin account.

Are you too stupid to know what a margin account is or are you someone who smears and lies about people?

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are so spooked by the possibility of a government shutdown that they would break all records in how fast they crumble to his demands.

As long as the Senate and House are in the hands of Uniparty pansies (GOP), the President will have no problem with them, regardless of who the President is. If the Hose and Senate are in the hands of Uniparty communists (Dem), then the battle begins. That said, the current occupant of the White House has shown the irrelevance of cooperation.

Right....Ted's loan had no collateral.

Also, when Donald took that old woman's house through eminent domain, he was actually the one manning the bulldozer to demolish it WITH HER PUPPY DOG STILL INSIDE!!! The old woman sat on the stoop crying and trying to look away but Donald had his goons force her to watch as the house where her husband of 46 years died, was being demolished by Trump himself.

You know what? Making up stuff about the other candidates is kind of fun. I see why you do it.

The last thing we need is to have a President (or any politician for that matter) who will “get things done.” What we need is leadership that will get things un-done.

Odd how a verse in The Law for the Wolves matches the Reagan 11th commandment :

When ye fight with a wolf of the pack ye must fight him alone and afar,
Lest others take part in the quarrel and the pack is diminished by war.

Alas, people so spoiled for generations they've forgotten that the "lone wolf" is nothing but a scavenger don't read much Kipling, eh ?

They hate him because he refuses to join the “good ol’ boys club” and wheel and deal with them. When present day Senate Republicans negotiate with their Democratic colleagues the Dems always get their way. Our good ol’ boys may be able to handle their Scotch drinks but are a push over for the Dems. Cruz stands tall in the face of their constant put down of Cruz’s action in the Senate as he represents real Republicans. That I hope is most of those on FR.

Our ‘pack” of Senators, the majority, are no match for the pack of the minority, the Dems. The talk, the so called “compromise” is their Republican preference. And their “compromise” always seems to favor the minority Dems. How can that be??

There is one thing I want to say to all of you Trump supporters that have jumped on the bandwagon to bash Cruz because "no one likes him": I don't ever expect to hear any of you complain about electing someone who runs as a conservative, then goes along with the establishment once in office. When you actually got someone who took the promises he made while campaigning seriously, and fought for the things he promised, even when everyone else opposed him, you trashed him and attacked him, while applauding Trump for saying he will make deals with the establishment.

So obviously, you don't REALLY object to having someone who campaigns as a conservative but works with the establishment - otherwise even if you didn't support Cruz for president, you wouldn't be attacking him for staying true to his conservative principles.

Ted is just like The Donald. Got a loan from the epitome of the Democrat Establishment GoldmanSachs with no collateral. Except for the favors they knew he would return someday.

That is a lie that has been disproven so many times, I'm amazed that you could even be shameless enough to repeat it. As has been documented repeatedly, the G-S loan Ted got was a margin loan that was secured (ie, collateral) by his own assets. Either you haven't been paying attention, or you are deliberately propagating a proven lie. Which is it?

You got that right. They have a lot of gall to call themselves, "Conservatives", too. What the Hell have they conserved ? They haven't even managed to hang onto the things the Regan Revolution won for them.

At best, they're Hyenas laughing at the dupes who elect them.

I’m 100% confident that Cruz knows more than you about absolutely everything related to the law and government policy.
