You want us to compete in every part of the country, but not in Iowa (How stupid are the people of Iowa?)? Right. Don't you think you should at least make an attempt to be consistent? Or not...

You make no sense since Trump is going to win Iowa, so he’s obviously competing there. If you want to focus on a turn of phrase that Trump was using to demonstrate the absurdity of Carson’s claims, then enjoy twisting things to fit your narrative. Apparently Trump was right since Carson is a non factor in Iowa.

Paladino hates 90% of Republican officeholders in NY and rudely calls these statesmen RINOS.

Carl is from Buffalo not NYC

http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/authors/c/carl_paladino.html

When the phonies are expelled from their leadership roles and the Republican Party backs a moderate gubernatorial candidate acceptable to the rank and file with proper financing and the intestinal fortitude to fight the good fight, the rank and file will rejoin the fold.
Carl Paladino

I’m not part of the friends-and-family club; I’m not part of the pay-to-play club; I’m not looking to get re-elected. I’m not looking to go to another office and fill my campaign coffers. I don’t need any friends in Albany except the people of the state.
Carl Paladino

I just think my children and your children would be much better off and much more successful getting married and raising a family, and I don’t want them brainwashed into thinking that homosexuality is an equally valid and successful option - it isn’t.
Carl Paladino

I have a great sensitivity to kids. I have a great sensitivity to the people that fall between the cracks.
Carl Paladino
Great, Fall, Cracks

I don’t want to be polite. I don’t think campaigning is polite. That’s a disingenuous effort.
Carl Paladino

We are angry about paying the highest income taxes and property taxes in the nation and getting less and less for it. We are angry about our incompetent, dysfunctional government that pays no attention to the desires of the people. We are angry about the cesspool of corruption and conflicts of interests and self-dealing that is Albany.
Carl Paladino

I see a New York where people who are down on their luck can get back on the road to responsibility, a job and dignity.
Carl Paladino

yet it's not enough for you and others because according to you he's not sufficiently conservative.

Sufficiently? Trump isn't at all Conservative. From single-payer to Kelo to expediting the return of illegals to progressive tax rates, I haven't seen a Conservative position yet. So if you know of any conservative positions he holds, please tell.

If you weren't such a reactionary you might have taken the time to search this guy before you pummelled him. He ran for Gov against Cuomo. And came really close, which set the dem machine in overdrive. I worked really hard for him. He would make the perfect vp for DT.

         WHAT HE STANDS FOR

Paladino says that he plans to use interpretations of the Constition of the State of New York  to declare a fiscal state of emergency, which he will then use to freeze compensation of state, municipal and school employees and cut the state budget by 10 to 20 percent. He proposes closing off welfare services to those who come from out of state to receive benefits, by placing a minimum residency requirement of one year before anyone can claim state benefits.

He seeks to cut the state's Medicaid budget by nearly 30%, or $20 billion by making significant cuts to benefits, requiring identification, fingerprints and drug testing in order to receive benefits, and training family members to take care of people who would otherwise be in long-term care.

He has also expressed distaste for public servic labor unions,  which he has compared to pigs, and is an outspoken critic of the state's Taylor Law, which gives unions significant negotiating advantages in exchange for prohibiting them from striking. He promises to take a hard line in negotiations with unions, whose contracts expire in April 2011, and will refuse to grant them favorable condition.

He supports current governor David Paterson's efforts to furlough state employees.  In the event of a late budget, he would shut down most levels of government except those related to public health and safety.  Paladino would first target patronage jobs for elimination; i.e., those who received their jobs as political favors and through family connections. He would also rely on the state's rank and file to target persons "incapable for whatever reason of performing their functions at a cost productive level, and hopes to eliminate 60,000 jobs from the state workforce through these reductions.

He would seek to eliminate numerous perks such as state-owned take-home vehicles. Paladino also supports converting some minimum security prisons into Civilian Conservation Corps -style camps, which he dubs the "Dignity Corps," a program he bases on both the CCC and the work of a local mission in Buffalo.

At the local government level, he would consolidate the operations of most school districts at the county level, with a single appointed superintendent, and also consolidate other local town and village operations at that level. He is currently considering a solution for districts that span multiple counties.

In regard healthcare and the healthcare legislation, which he adamantly opposes, he has stated that he believes that the long-term impact of the act would be just as memorable and possibly more deadly than the September 11 attacks. aladino has pledged himself to one term in office.

With regard to a planned Islamic community center two blocks from the site of the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York City, in late July, 2010, Paladino came out with a radio ad which stated, "As Governor, I will use the power of eminent domain to stop this mosque and make the site a war memorial instead of a monument to those who attacked our country.  more

I put the info on various threads so that it’s all there conveniently on one page for later times when the threads are referenced by people researching the site or the web in general. You’d be surprised how far and wide some of these threads go. Media people, political people, folks with their own websites, etc, etc. You need to think beyond yourself.

Oh, I see. When Trump insults all Iowans it’s a turn of a phrase, but when Cruz points out the liberal cesspool that is NY politics, he’s insulting the entire state. Objectivity and balance aren’t your stronger suits are they?Keep on guzzling that Kool-Aid.

Don’t forget his ideal Supreme Court Justice: his sister. She a pro-abort judicial zealot who is adamantly against even protecting aborted babies that happen to survive. But he’s a staunch conservative.....

Your point is nonsensical and as with most Cruz supporters, based on emotion and not reason. Again, Trump is obviously competing in Iowa because he is winning. Your original point if you even understand it, was that Trump was writing off Iowa because he said they were stupid. Clearly he didn’t write it off and his comments have had no effect on him.
