Why do these tax credits exist in the first place????? Ugh, you’re infertile - that’s life, people!
If I am understanding it right, they are trying to claim the IVF on their 1040 long form as ‘their’ medical expenses to reduce their net taxable income.
They are not, they are the surrogates.
