Officials insist this has nothing to do with Muslims.
Following a recent influx of refugees, most of which are Muslim, a city in Denmark is reportedly making pork mandatory on municipal menus.
The council motion narrowly passed in Randers, a principally Lutheran county in Denmark, the Associated Press reports. It was proposed by the populist Danish People's Party, which has maintained an anti-immigration stance in the midst of the refugee crisis.
Frank Noergaard, a council member as well as a member of the DPP, insisted that this move is not an attack on Muslims, who are religiously prohibited from eating pork, but rather it's a way to uphold pork as "a central part of Denmark's food culture." However, he went on to add that he's heard "several complaints about too many concessions" made for Muslim refugees. Now public domains, including schools and daycare centers, are required to serve pork.

Yeah, that’s fine, but it illustrates the cowardly, passive-aggressive, Euro-wimp response to this crisis. The best response would be to grow a pair, and say that no refugees are welcome, period. Instead they say, “come on in”, but we’ll feed you ham in the (free) cafeteria. Yeah, that’ll show ‘em!
Where I come from, being fed high quality pork is a benefit, not an atrocity.
Denmark was good to Jews during World War II. Too bad they are doing this now.
Lunch/weapon. Arm the children.
On all these threads, I go back to the two years I went to public school in the USA and the two years I want to Catholic school (long story).
We keep kosher, always have.
Accordingly, my mom packed me a lunch every day. During Passover, it was down right Paleo.
It never once crossed our minds to demand a kosher lunch from the school.
I just post this to compare-and-contrast with the muslims who demand that not only must they get free Halal lunches, but everyone must have Halal lunches.
It’s a simple, but fundamental, difference between Islam and Judaism that all can understand.
That would discriminate against Jews.

Bingo. Same here, in CA public schools. My elementary school was 65-70% Jewish and yet any of us who kept kosher couldn’t eat in their cafeteria much. So we brought our lunches, big whoop. Huge difference between us taking care of our own needs vs Muslims taking over. I believe it started with prisons. Hm.

Denmark is known for its hams-and the production of SPAM for the UK and European market.
This doesn’t hurt Jews. Maybe there are instances of Jews demanding that pork be taken off menus — but I’ve never heard of any.
