On January 19, Donald Trump, the loudest Republican claimant to the anti-establishment label, filled out his recent attacks on Ted Cruz in a very telling way, as revealed on Mark Levin's radio program ...
We've been contacted by the establishment types. They all want to know, how do they get involved with the campaign? They're giving up on their candidate...and I mean these are real establishment people, that I've known when I was a member of the establishment -- meaning a giver, a big donor. But they are contacting us -- Corey [Trump's campaign manager], I think we can say that very honestly, they're contacting us left and right about joining the campaign, and these are serious establishment types.
Who might these "real," "serious" establishment types be? Perhaps there is a hint in this subsequent comment, a follow-up to his recent pro-establishment assault against Ted Cruz:
So when you talk about temperament, Ted has got a rough temperament, I don't know. You know, you can't call people liars on the Senate floor, when they're your leader.
This, of course, is a direct reference to Cruz's criticism of Mitch McConnell regarding the GOP establishment leader's secret deal with Barack Obama prior to a trade vote.

I liked him initially. I even sent him a little money. I don’t care for his plan to tamper with social security though and I especially don’t care to set a precedent whereby children that were born in foreign countries to foreign fathers can gain control over 1/3 of our government, our intelligence services, and our armed forces. Some people aren’t seeing the big picture here imo. Cruz can out Christian Trump so that good enough for them.

... I think they prefer Trump because he no idea about separation of powers, an appreciation for states’ rights, etc.
It wouldn’t occur to him that an existing, let alone proposed program, is no business of the Federal Government.
I agree with you. He is a very low info guy, saying he is going to do that which he can’t. He is also lying through his teeth trying to take Cruz out.
Actually, he put himself in the spotlight BECAUSE of illegal immigration....

But briefly, for now:
First of all Dole part of the establishment? Please, he’s a retired old geezer who has exactly ZERO influence on ANYBODY.
Second of all, WHEN the establishment accepts Trump, AND MOVES INTO HIS CORNER, does that mean that Trump has joined the establishment. NO!
IT MEANS TRUMP WON AND THE ESTABLISHMENT IS FOLLOWING *HIM*.
He is running for President of the United States.

Is the President of the United States an OUTSIDER????
Of course Trump is running to become the ultimate insider, that is what the PRESIDENT is.
That is what your Canadian Candidate will be if he could somehow run the gauntlet of voters and courts (.00001% chance, I know, but just for the sake of argument).
If Cruz The Canadian somehow became President of the United States, he too would be INSIDER NUMBER ONE.
He would be the LEADER OF THE INSIDERS.
That IS the whole point of this election, Oh Great But Not So Bright Conservative Purists.
YOUR Canadian candidate is running to obtain the same ultimate support of INSIDERS that our American candidate is running to obtain.
So cut the crap, ok?

I am puzzled that Cruz supporters completely ignore Cruz’s willingness to bend over to the cartel that he so often blasts. The man voted for the Corker bill, and goes about the country condemning the bill he voted for. He must be some kind of mental case. Trump has, in the past, made comments that I disagree with, but his comments had no impact on government policies, and he says he has changed on those issues, such as abortion.
But Cruz has very lately VOTED in support of the cartel. He has until recently advocated legalization for all illegals. And now he claims to be on the right of that issue to Trump.
For part of the problem, the Limbaugh part, all one needs to do is turn the dial.
The bigger issue, Trump's popularity in the polls, about all that can be done is what is being done - present arguments on where the candidates stand on the issues, their competence (or lack thereof) and all the other factors that condense into choosing a candidate.
