Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman said Wednesday that projections for rising global unemployment over the next two years are "alarming" and the U.N. chief will keep pushing for job opportunities, especially for youth.
The comments from deputy spokesman Farhan Haq were in response to a new report from the U.N. labor agency projecting that the number of unemployed people will increase by nearly 2.3 million in 2016 and 1.1 million in 2017 as a result of the global economic slowdown last year.

Farmers get paid to not grow crops. with welfare, we pay people not to work. What could possibly go wrong?
Just wait til the next world war—lots of jobs, the draft, rebuilding the cities. We will have too few people to do all the things that need to be done!
And people who do work are punished with heavy taxation and the businesses they create are micromanaged by their government betters...
Our money is taxed when we earn it, taxed when we spend it. Money we pay taxes with is taxed. The government is always adding more “fees”. How much of our own money can we keep? 25%? 10%? How much of our money is enough for the government? They never seem to get enough to be satisfied. We need a constitutional amendment setting the maximum rate that the government (local, state, federal totaled together) can take from us.
So, now it’s the U.N. that “creates” jobs, not just socialist governments?
The UN was always envisioned as a socialist supergovernment. Alger Hiss liked Stalin’s USSR constitution so much, he made the UN’s charter into a clone of it.
More Socialism!! It’s the only cure.
