I just finished watching Sarah Palin's endorsement of Donald Trump and I have some observations.
Sarah Palin is a rhetorical genius. Like her or not, she's really good at political rhetoric.
And, I hope Trump is PAYING her, she's worth $5mil a month during the primaries so hopefully he'll be paying her at least $3mil/month.
This endorsement matters. She bring more "blue collar" credibility and conservative "good enough" to put all other GOP challengers back on their heels looking for life support.
This endorsement likely is the death knell for the Cruz campaign. I think it now means Trump will win Iowa, something I was sure he had locked up. I even contended aggressively with fellow Freepers on this matter. I considered it an illusion that anyone besides Cruz could win Iowa, but now I believe it will be Trump.
And Sarah Palin will be the reason.
Without Iowa, Cruz has no campaign.
Flame away, but do as well as you can to keep it civil.
“Bad day for Cruz and his Cult.”
It is demeaning and does not reflect well on you to call conservatives who support Cruz as members of a cult. If you truly are for Trump you will understand that he will need them in the general election if he is nominated.
I think you have the cult thing reversed. Are you wearing your Trump hat?
I heard that! Yes, we have some old-fashioned “Reagan Democrats” out there. Sarah hailed union workers tonight. She’s aware of the crossover voters.
You hope he's paying her for her endorsement??
The silence from the crows was telling.
“That and eminent domain disqualify Trump from my support.”
Seriously? Do you have water? electricity? Do you support a wall or keystone pipeline?
Maybe you should find out how your chosen candidate feels about eminent domain.
Nope. Somehow, I don’t think that “Madame Inevitable” will be the Dem nominee, and I don’t think people are going to get excited enough to vote for the Bern.
If, by some chance, the country DOES end up electing Bernie, I think Vladimir Ilych Lenin will, somewhere in the depths of Hell, have an ever-so-brief moment to smile, since he was the one who predicted so long ago that we’d sell them (the Commies) the rope we’d hang from.
“More than two days. Sheâs also going to NH and SC over the coming days. Oklahoma tomorrow.”
Trump has dominated the message from day one. It continues.
Yes it was.
But I HOPE he's paying her.
Personally, I have stayed out of the Trump vs Cruz stuff on this board, mainly because it’s pointless and nobody seems open to argument. But I have to say that Palin seems like the Al Sharpton of the Republicans. I don’t really hold her responsible for her family, but her abdicating the trust endowed to her by the people of Alaska has never sat well with me, and the whole attention-grabbing, reality TV, traveling provocateur schtick isn’t how I wish to be represented.
Endorsing a mercurial populist with zero conservative credentials, who pats Christians condescendingly on the head while insulting their intelligence is par for the course, I reckon.
I think today just won Iowa for Trump. With it, a sweep of the primaries. He’ll still need Ted’s folks to keep the GOPe from pulling first ballot tricks. Trump and Cruz know this. Cruz will stay in long enough to keep the GOPe from consolidating, then Trump will rehabilitate him and get him on the team. Cruz will have a job in Trump’ s admin.
Actually, the “endorsement” (comments) by the Iowa Governor today, was more important.
Nice!!
They will set the trail ablaze :)

Trump paid his illegal Polish immigrant workers $5/hr., so Sarah should be worth $10/hr., at least.
“Wonât change one personâs mind and Tea Partiers will quickly label Palin a sell out, which she is.”
Yes, I now find Palin as credible as Trump and Hillary.
One, two punch.
CNN did a whole half hour segment on Palin’s Trump endorsement. Nice panel and lots of great highlights of her speech and what she brings to this campaign.
The Governor’s comments were the icing on the cake :)
Cruz should be AG
Senate Majority Leader would be the best fit.
Well Patton’s speaking voice was lousy too. So What! He got the job done! People search for any nit picking gnat to criticize. Nobody is perfect and a speaking voice shouldn’t count.
Personally, I have stayed out of the Trump vs Cruz stuff on this board,
