Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice-presidential nominee who became a Tea Party sensation and a favorite of grass-roots conservatives, will endorse Donald J. Trump in Iowa on Tuesday, officials with his campaign confirmed. The endorsement provides Mr. Trump with a potentially significant boost just 13 days before the state's caucuses.
Well, no one should say “he can’t win”. At some point perhaps someone should be able to admit a likely outcome.
But not before there’s even been one vote cast. That to me is like a football team going on the road and saying, “We’re here to play but we’re going to get creamed!”
What would be the point of that?
Other than that I agree with what you’re basically saying.
I don't believe that she was "nervous", as some of the earlier posters claimed; I think that she was just VERY happy and excited. She sure packed a LOT into that speech.
INDEED ! I've had to hold my gosh darn nose when voting so long I forgot to feel what fresh wind smells like !
Trump himself is the poster boy of crony capitalism! He has admitted to trying to buy off politicians, and his donor history shows it. Note also how he’s in bed with Big Ethanol, in order to pander to Iowa. Some “conservative.”
The only lines longer than those at Trump rallies should be all the supposed “Conservative Christians at church altars and confessionals for what they’re thinking, especially now. I’ve been apalled at the nastiness and poor attitudes of them. We have mutual enemies that will never get the pure hatred from them that we Trump supporters have.
Palin’s brand of Christianity isn’t found in God’s Word? Yours is. Your counterparts were called Pharisees.
Got cold up there :)
Not happening this year.
It was on FOX NEWS at the start of Greta.
I shudder to think we get to that point, and believe me, I've embraced the vote suck hard in the past.
Should it come to that, well.......
Well Chief...what do you think?
You are certainly entitled to your opinion......time will tell who is right!!!
Started on msnbc, switched over to Fox business, then finished it on Greta's show.
I was just guessing, but was lucky to get it all.
It will get on YouTube soon, it was well worthwhile to watch.
The lady can still bring it strong, it was one of her best, a heart felt stemwinder.
I explained to another how my wife was asking about how loud the mic was, and could it be turned down, she started nervous and screechy. By the middle, my wife was pretty silent. By the end, she was almost in tears.
It was one of her best. It was very convincing, very well done.
If Trump can do as well as I think he can at shaking up Congress, he'll get around to shedding that mandate along with a lot of others. If not, it'll use it as a means to keep Congress critters in line by putting roadblocks in its way when they want to horse trade on something he wants.
I notice Ted came out for "phasing out" that mandate just like I figured he would, not exactly the brave stand he started out with. Of course, he made sure his being "against" that mandate got a lot more press than his saying it should be phased out, typical.
Palin knows the difference between someone who can get things done and someone is a a, "My way or the highway", bag of hot air that gives good speech and never gets anything done. She probably thought there was a chance Ted would get things done when she helped him in Texas.
Now that Cruz is running for President before finishing his first term in the Senate with nothing to show for his time in the Senate, her opinion has obviously changed.
Geez it’s a joke. Relax.
Clever :)
POST OF THE DAY AND NIGHT !
She really did pack so much into her passionate speech! Would like to see a written transcript. The Donald was gobsmacked at how good it was. He was obviously pleased! I think it was better than he had even hoped!
Everyone should watch it for themselves.
Only God knows the future. Our job in the mean time is to do what’s right. I can’t vote for a man who’s going to ruin the Supreme Court for the next 30-40 years, and I honestly don’t understand all the folks here who are somehow OK with that. No, I just don’t get it. We used to be conservatives here. Now we’re reality star groupies? Really? Genuinely sad.
Peace,
SR
I’d say that as well, she was just hugely pumped up, more excited than nervous.
