Bush hopes to gain momentum with help from Texas voters (Jeb at 4%, Mike Murphy wasting $5M in ads)

As Jeb Bush continues to lag in the polls, his backers have mounted a Texas strategy, with nearly $5 million in reserved television airtime and an organization they say is extensive and months in the making. The time has been reserved in major media markets, including Houston and San Antonio. It's enough to buy at least 10,000 television advertising spots.

Henson, co-director of the UT/Texas Tribune poll, pointed out that in November trial ballots, Bush was the first choice of only 4 percent of those GOP voters and the second choice of 6 percent. While there's "a distant chance" that Bush will get additional traction once Texas Republicans start paying attention, Henson pointed out that a quarter of the Republicans polled said they definitely wouldn't vote for Bush.

At the point the political hacks attached to the Dauphin are trying to squeeze as many dollars into their pockets as they can before the Dauphin is deposed.

The RNC has something up their sleeve. Jen should have dropped out by now according to his poll numbers. I will never vote for him.

I'm sure they are out there, but I don't know one single Texan that would cast their vote for Yeb. Not one.

I’ve heard that Jeb has made it onto all 50 state ballots, so now he is spending wild.

“Consultants” trying to pocket as much of the suckers money as they can before Bush pulls out of the race after being defeated in South Carolina.

“As Jeb Bush continues to lag in the polls, his backers have mounted a Texas strategy”

This is after the “NH Strategy”, the “SC Strategy” and the “Florida Strategy” I would imagine.

Obviously my own very small slice of life here in TX - but the GOP names that come up most often when I talk to friends, neighbors, and co-workers: Cruz, Trump, & Rubio.

I can’t remember talking to anyone that seriously considered Jeb as their go to for El Presidente.

I hope this backfires enough that Geo Pee becomes non-viable in TX. That Bush needs to be pruned asap.

Jeb excels at falling asleep at public meetings, picking his nose in public, and childishly standing on his tip toes to make himself taller than DJ Trump

Other than that he is for amnesty, cheap labor taking American jobs, and Common Core.

Jeb actually thought he didn’t need the base just a pile of cash. Jeb you need votes to get them you need to turn out the base. You might win the general election getting Hillary’s voters, but first you have to win the votes of Republicans, and your not what we want.

Most people cannot stand Jeb. He just needs to go, and quit wasting everyone’s time.

Almost no one wants him for President.

It’s a clown show at this point!

Jeb, and Laura, and probably Tom Hicks, Ray Hunt, and Boone Pickens.

It actually infuriates me that these people feel as if they have some sort of right or succession because of their name, power, position.

The Bush family setup George P. Bush to be groomed here in Texas for an eventual position as governor. George P. grew up in Florida, yet the establishment set him up, poured cash into his campaign to become Texas Land Commissioner.
