The excerpt also fails to mention that Cruz actually discussed this in his book. This fact was in the article BTW.....just omitted for some reason in the thread...

What actually happened is not as important as the impression they want to create.
I read the book and didn’t remember the incident at all. Looking at the article, I see he mentioned depression but not the incident (?). Anyway, I agree that this is dirty pool.
