New York is THE most exciting city in the world....there is no equal.
Trodding the endless sidewalks amid this grand canyon of sky-high buildings, one is both exhilarated and humbled. Not to mention the wealth of culture, the shopping and restaurants at every turn.
Even New York liberals are different than liberals living elsewhere. I surmise NY haters are those who cannot deal w/ New Yorkers hard-edged sophistication.
They are simply marvelous, talented, in-the-know people...no matter what they espouse.
Yes, I agree. Prepare now to be condemned!
There is no Ground Zero mosque. It is now apt. buildings. That was defeated thanks to the efforts of NYer Pam Geller, Robert Spencer and Dutch PM Geert Wilders. And, undoubtedly, a lot of other folks who fly under the radar.
Condemned?
Well, I’ll just turn on the hard-edged NY sophistication and watch ‘em struggle.
ROTFLOL.
I’ll watch with delight!
But still ... the guys who fought so hard to get that mosque built symbolize all that is wrong with New York values, and as you rightly pointed out, New Yorkers HATED it.
It’s still a valid issue too — the Establishment’s anti-patriotism.
Thank you for the update though. I went through the key word and it must have been buried. Thank you. Glad to hear!
No, the muzzie who wanted it built didn’t represent New York values - you only say that because you would like to believe that. The area is holy ground to all who live here. And the fact that you didn’t know the update is proof you don’t know what you are talking about.
I don’t like being rude but sometimes you people really push me to the wall.
Hey, cool down a minute please. On your side.
I may not be perfect, but I’m learning [ever so slowly] when to not get harsh on people.
I was defending the values of New Yorkers and explaining who tries to insert bad values there, the very creeps who pushed so hard for the Victory Mosque that I SAID they hate.
So unless you are defending democrats in NY it would be a good idea to read what’s in front of you more carefully. That’s more of a mistake than failing to find old articles long buried under ‘spam’ uses of key words.
I messed up? A little. Point still valid. We all mess up sometimes.
Praise God! That is some rare good news.
Yes, Ground Zero is hallowed ground to New Yorkers...and all who visit from afar are equally as reverential.
WRT the failure of the GZM.....factor in that Islam is all about triumphalism. They were determined to build the GZM and tried every trick in the book.
But they were up against New Yorkers who said no way.....another testimony to the accomplished NY state of mind.
Too frickin’ bad for the Muzzies.
New Yorkers ought to be proud. I’m relieved by the update regarding the Ground Zero Mosque.
Hope my post didn’t confuse you too about my intentions.

Those suggesting otherwise are being disingenuous.
It is disappointing that the failure of Islam/s GZM did not resonate more decisively beyond NYC...where it was stopped in its tracks by determined New Yorkers....including Donald Trump.
Back then, Donald Trump offered to put up his own money to stop the mosque and Islamic community center planned near Ground Zero. Trump said he'd pay $6 million for the Park51 Cordoba Mosque site (a princely sum for property then-worth about $4.5 million).
Trump was lacerated for his efforts by the property/s investor.

“Christianity under siege!”
Amen, Brother Trump!
It’s sad when it takes courage to state the obvious.
I saw both viewpoints here. Criticizing New York can appear to be critizing a war veteran with a bionic leg. Why doesn’t matter to many people. You just don’t do it.
But I agree, not what Cruz was talking about. He was talking about the creeps who pushed for that Ground Zero Mosque. It’s good for New York to consider. Even Hannity agrees.
I’m glad that Ground Zero Mosque failed!
