Donald Trump, speaking to a religious crowd at Virginia's Liberty University on Monday, turned to scripture.
"We're going to protect Christianity. I can say that. I don't have to be politically correct," he said. "Two Corinthians, 3:17, that's the whole ballgame ... is that the one you like?"

This is the beauty of Trump that is going right over many people’s heads.
Read his comment:
We’re going to protect Christianity. I can say that. I don’t have to be politically correct,” he said. “Two Corinthians, 3:17, that’s the whole ballgame ... is that the one you like?”
He IS NOT trying to be something he isn’t! Unlike many ‘Christians’, he isn’t going to try to hide what he doesn’t know and act like someone he isn’t. And he does it in a humorous fashion. I think that comment is beautiful from someone who obviously respects his audience and isn’t going to pose as someone on the same level spiritual level as them.
And this backs up a point I’m going to keep making that he is a man of his word whose goal here is to not con an entire country, but rather put his solutions out there in black and white and then DO IT if given the chance.
Yes, of course. All of us are wrong. We should have been saying Two Corinthians. Perhaps Trump can help us.
Very well said. It is under every Christian’s watch in this country that that the US has totally fallen apart. There are probably millions who know the bible better than Trump, but that as not helped one bit in the decay of America. Only Trump shows tremendous courage while American Christians watch their brethren get butchered by the hundreds of thousands in the Middle East and do nothing with their well learned verses. You need a little more than the pride of intellect to put the country back on track.
2 Corinthians 3:17New International Version (NIV)
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (NIV)
What do you mean?
As in “casting the first stone?” or is there another definition of stones?
And it can’t be the “whole ballgame”, we’re only in the Two inning.
He is new to Christianity and conservatism. He is still learning the lines to fool people.
What what?
"And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not."
I say “Two Corinthians” all the time.
Trump is a very busy guy,
he only had a little time to skim Cliff's Notes before playing Bible thumper at rallies
But I think whats is important here is that:
1) Don will deport every last illegal on his first day of office and make Mexico build the wall.
2) Ted was born in Canada
3) Evangelicals don't come from Cuba.
HAHA!

Kinda like: “Can I get one of them thar huntin’ licences, heaar”.
The crush Trump offensive is on full-force. It’s only going to get worse.
Just what did he say that is wrong?
The Spirit of the Lord IS the WHOLE BALLGAME!
He doesn’t pretend to be devout.
You Cruz people just want another Jimmy Carter!! (sarc)
I just love people who bother to come on threads and berate the other posters for wasting time on those threads.
Do you see the irony?
Didn’t think so.
Mine says 2 Corinthians.
It's only the knuckle-dragging, helmet wearing, drool cup wearing, mouth breather, cousin loving types that go all mental when someone doesn't speak with exact precision.
I don’t care about his accent. I find this odd. I’ve never heard any believer reference a second book of the Bible in that manner.
I don’t know why people on this thread on are tearing their hair out over a perceived attack on Trump. This is primary season at FR. Pups should stay on the porch. (Not directed at you specifically.)
It’s a blessing that Trump spoke this shiboleth at Liberty.
