Better question is why are these firefighters and policemen more deserving than all others. I see New York gaining control over money from the rest of the country. You can bet a good percentage of it goes to the bureaucrats!!! And that would be democrats!!!

I wouldn’t vote for it either. Why should the U.S. taxpayers be on the hook for NYC employees? Don’t they already have health insurance?
