Donald Trump Has Always Been at War with Ted Cruz (VIDEO)
Redstate ^ | 1/1716 | Leon H. Wolf

Stephanopolous: On this issue of New York Values, he lumped you in yesterday with Hillary Clinton, Andrew Cuomo, Bill de Blasio and said he apologizes to the millions of New Yorkers who have been let down by liberal politicians.

Trump: Look, the truth is that he’s a nasty guy, he was so nice to me, I mean, I knew it, I was watching, I kept saying, “Come on, Ted, Let’s go, Ted,” but he’s a nasty guy, nobody likes him, nobody in Congress likes him, nobody likes him anywhere once they get to know him, a very, um, he’s got an edge that’s not good, you can’t make deals with people like that. And it’s not a good thing, it’s not a good thing for the country. Very nasty guy.

Trump is such a buffoon. It’s not enough for him to claim that he’s learned or come to understand that Ted Cruz is a “nasty guy,” because that would of course disturb his aura of being an all knowing and all powerful authoritarian figure. He has to say that he’s known all along that Ted Cruz was a “nasty guy” and that he’s been playing along with it because… well, that part is never made clear.

It’s worked for Trump by increasing his lead in the national polls and putting him back on top in Iowa. Trump is a warrior, the rest are victims. If they can’t handle it they are free to drop out...before the voters push them out.

Do you have anything else to do with your time? This is about the 50th article you’ve posted in the last day or so. You have a bit of a Cruz obsession it seems. Is it you Mark Levin??

It is called an election. It is not always a nice process. Wait ‘til this guys start seeing what the world throws at them as POTUS. If they can’t handle the election process, get out.

Cruz started it. I wish he had not started it. But he started it

It’s in the timing. Cruz got nasty with Trump’s home state. Now it’s safe to call Cruz nasty. All part of the battlefield — escalation should be expected now by everyone.

It blows my mind how people on this site complained and moaned about the GOPE never “taking off the gloves” or always playing by “Marquess of Queensberry rules” when it came to the Democrats, but then expect Trump to be soft on Cruz because He doesn’t know how to street fight like Trump?

Then what are they expecting from Cruz in the general election against a ruthless machine that exists on the left?

Holy crap, Red State and Right Scoop are really churning out these BS articles as fast as possible. No doubt we’ll be spammed by 10 more Redstate articles by the end of the day, though probably half of them will be reposts.

DT looks old, weak, desperate and like a loser in his attacks on Cruz.

There is a story:

In the summer of 1986, two ships collided in the Black Sea off the coast of Russia. Hundreds of passengers died as they were hurled into the icy waters below. News of the disaster was further darkened when an investigation revealed the cause of the accident. It wasn't a technology problem like radar malfunction--or even thick fog. The cause was human stubbornness. Each captain was aware of the other ship's presence nearby. Both could have steered clear, but according to news reports, neither captain wanted to give way to the other. Each was too proud to yield first. By the time they came to their senses, it was too late.

Closer Walk, December, 1991.

Might there be a lesson here?

DT is too BLIND to see he needs Cruz’ help in reversing our course...forced to believe DT doesn’t realize or care what damage the Left has inflicted. DT is as of yesterday DEAD to me. Shame.

As a one time enthusiastic supporter of trump I am liking him less and less now. The guy will change positions on a dime, such as now saying he will consider filing a lawsuit against Cruz for his eligibility while saying earlier only Democrats would. His friends can become his enemies in a second if he thinks they are getting in his way, deliberately or otherwise. He is only driven by a singular obsession to win. Perhaps he will make a great president, but who is to say he won’t change his position on the Wall and other things once elected ? The Wall and deporting illegals and cutting down on immigration-legal and illegal, is why I am still supporting him.

Ted started it. Ted could have stayed with the issues. Instead he chose to label Trump with NY values and pull up 20 year old positions that Trump has outgrown.

Not very smart of Cruz. He’s seen what happens to other candidates that try that with Trump. But Cruz was losing. It’s Cruz’s last ditch effort to shed his nice guy image and become a nasty guy.

Trump started this by pushing the birther attack over and over again until Cruz had to shoot back. However, all that Trump’s nastiness will do is prove that his New York Values don’t fit with conservative Iowans, and South Carolinians.
