No it is all kabuki planned by both of them. They have written a script that will get this before the SC and destroy o and the d party.

Sit back and watch it unfold. We are just finishing Act 1

I have to admit I’ve reevaluated the type of people that come to this site. Yes, I’m a Cruz supporter, and I feel, objectively, Cruz is the closest politician we’ve had to ideal since I’ve been a sentient adult. Yet, many here see it very differently in large part due of Trump’s candidacy (yes, my opinion). It would be interesting to know if the world lacked Donald Trump how his supporters would view Ted Cruz.

Rubio’s young. I’m wondering if he would be a better candidate to be mentored by Trump, including bringing Rubio up to speed about what growing up in the USA was like in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Except for Rubio’s blindspot on the invasion of the US (it’s a big blindspot), he’s a reliable conservative. Besides that, he’s very smart on national security, and I’m wondering if that won’t bring Rubio around on illegals and curtailing entry into the US.

Hillary, take notice: Trump is a bare knuckle fighter. You haven't dealt with this type of Republican before. As Trump said, this is war...and the fate of the country hangs in the balance.

When he filed, the loans had not even been taken out yet. Filing them with the Senate showed he was not trying to hide them.

I don’t pay a lot of attention to the so-called split here in FR...

For the most part, it seems MOST FReepers would support EITHER Trump or Cruz before any of the others...That’s the way I feel also...

Watch out, Donald, particularly since you came out in support of anchor baby citizenship with your “born on the soil” crap in the last debate.

I’m surprised if he’s really considering it.
Why should Trump spend his time, energy, & money to clean up after a mess Cruz made? I get that this is important for the sake of America’s stability, *and* that not dealing with it is just kicking the can down the road, I just think Trump should keep his eye on the goal & not get sidetracked. It’s out there. Leave it.

This situation with Cruz will take care of itself, at least in this election cycle. There is still the potential violation of FEC rules because he ran for Senate & didn’t disclose that he was a Canadian dual citizen. Dewhurst could sue Cruz. Or maybe the state of Texas? Maybe Trump should get with him on that.

.

I'm clearly on record on being a Donald Trump admirer, but a staunch Ted Cruz campaigner.

The other night Donald Trump said he would NOT pursue legal action against Ted Cruz, now Donald has changed his mind.

Sadly, I now admit to being "wrong" about the Cruz-Trump "dust-up" as political theater.

Apparently, Donald Trump's ego can NOT deal with being second in Iowa ... that is a BAD sign.

So sad.

Not even George S. Patton, Jr. believed he was ENTITLED to WIN every battle.

“Was Trump a liar when he said he wouldn’t be the one filing suit or is he a liar now?”

I’m beginning to think it’s pathological, at this point. I mean, it was just Thursday in the debate that Trump said he would “NOT bring a suit, but the democrats will”. Trump seems to be just as much of a “means justifies the ends” person as Obama. No thanks.

I think in a normal year, Cruz looks great. Compared to Trump, he is the best of the establishment pols. Just my opinion.

The winner of the Trump-Cruz Birther Bash will be Marco Rubio.

Rubio’s comment about “undocumented immigrants” who’ve not committed a crime in the US could stay has soured me on him....

If they are “undocumented”, they’ve ALREADY committed a crime....

When Trump praises Obama as a “Champion” and attacks a Christian Conservative like Ted Cruz, it is time for voters to come out of their trance and see who Trump really is.

So glad you are hearing from those who are!

Maybe somebody beat me to it, haven't read the thread.

Trump can file an amicus brief in the Schwartz case, arguing ONLY that the court should reject Cruz' motion to dismiss for standing, judiciabilty or ripeness, and that the court shoudl render a decision on the merits. He should not argue that Cruz does not meet the qualifications. Plaintiff already preesnted that argument.

That has the effect of showing Ted as not wanting a decision from the Courts, which is the fact of the matter.

He’ll have standing unless they change that rule. If that doesn’t work, they’ll change the definition from SR511 and Homeland Security understanding because the Constitution is fluid, don’cha know.

“That sounds like a very big case. I’d do the public a big favor,” Trump told the ABC host. “It’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll talk to them about it. I’d like to talk to Ted about it, see how he’d feel about it. Because you know, when I file suits, I file real suits.”

You’re comparing saying that to Obama outing a sex club wife sharer from stolen grand jury minutes ? C’mon Man!

My opinions regarding Ted Cruz were forming back when he was running for Senate. He’s only made them worse since then.
This guy should get a real job.

"born on the soil" crap

That's not crap. Most people prior to the 70s were taught that in grade-school. Two citizen parents, born in the US.

Morrison Waite believed it as well.
