'Believe me if I could say Liberal Jews I would': SNL pokes fun at Ted Cruz's 'New York values'
Daily Mail ^

Saturday Night Live kicked off with a skit mocking Wednesday night's Republican debate, including Ted Cruz's 'New York values' comment and Donald Trump's taunts toward other candidates.

The skit poked fun at all of the candidates, giving impersonations of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Chris Christie, Jeb Bush, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio.

It began with the moderators saying that any candidate who dropped below three per cent in the polls would be taken off stage.

The moderators then asked Trump, performed by Darrell Hammond, about his fellow candidate, Ted Cruz, performed by Taran Killam.

That's what I thought when Cruz said New York "money" and "media."

If they had left it alone, Cruz would have had to wallow in Trump's version.

Now the rest of America will see the biased MSM and SNL piling on, and it will actually end up being a good thing for Cruz.

The mean-spirited sketch is yet another example of Partisan Media Shills on the job. The only time I laughed at all during the entire show (I listened from here, the TV was in the other room) was during a couple of self-directed jokes in Weekend Update. What garbage SNL is.

Jews voted, what, 80% for Obama in 2008? Imagine what that number was for New York.

I guess Kasich doesn’t have New York values after all. SNL left him off their skit. And here I thought it was Trump doing the impression of a Rodney Dangerfield character.

Yep, same here. As they say, “we all KNEW what he meant.” Hardly a coded message.

IOWs Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders aren't really candidates.

I'm not a Cruz fan, but the little woman works for Lloyd Blankfein. I'm figuring he's not taking a shot at Jews. I think he lost the plot for a minute or two. Donald will do that to you.

Yep....the takeaways for CRuz, this week, are: he may be ineligible, that he insults NYers and has campaign loan disclosure issues.

I’ve only watched the debate cold open so far, but it was kind of funny. Best was how they dealt with Bush. “Jeb, would you like to tell the joke you were practicing over and over in the bathroom, earlier?” And he poorly tells his little joke and Trump rolls his eyes. I love that they brought back the older guy who’s been doing a great Trump for about 20 years.
